Recap:Sujal and Kashish , both have a heated argument.Kashish comes to know that Mansi was already married & Sujal was misunderstanding her because of Piyush.Piyush overhears their last part of conversation in which they decides to break up............

Kashish continued to stare after Sujal even as he disappeared from view and entered the house....Her knees felt weak and her mind was in a haze as she tried to grasp the magnitude of all that she had just heard from him...Manasi was MARRIED...and in the States with her husband...Sujal had never been in love with her....Instead he loved her...Kashish...It all seemed surreal and unbelievable...For a fleeting moment she wondered whether he had been lying...After all hadnt she herself seen and heard things to the contrary since almost the first day of her marriage...But then, the honesty had been unmistakable in Sujal's voice...It was clear that he had been speaking from his heart...So then what exactly had gone wrong? Why had their relationship reached such a stage if they both loved each other so much?...Had they...had they both been the victims of a terrible misunderstanding?...she questioned herself desperately....
Her mind was beginning to work rapidly now and she tried to look back at the events which had firmed up her suspicions regarding Sujal and Manasi...She could clearly recall that it had been Piyush who had first told her about their romance...just the day after her marriage...And later on it had again been Piyush who had told her about Manasi's arrival and about the fact that Sujal was meeting her....Then it had been her birthday...Piyush informed her that Sujal had gone out for dinner with Manasi...but she was not even in the country then...How could Piyush not know that...And whats more Sujal had just mentioned that he personally gave Piyush a message for her...And the photograph...who had placed it in the drawer if not Sujal...?...
But what intrigued her most was Sujal's accusation that she was involved with Piyush...Had it come at some other time, she would have probably been furious with Sujal for thus trying to shift the blame for his unfaithfulness to her...But now she was certain that something must have occurred to make her Sujal misunderstand her friendship with Piyush, just as she had done in the case of Manasi...But what could it be?..What had made him imagine that she could cheat on him ever..and that too with PIYUSH???...
It was all very confusing...but one thing was clear...all these episodes had a common link...Piyush...Everything came and centered on him...So only he could provide a solution to this whole situation...She looked towards Piyush, who was watching her intently and was just about to speak when he himself came close to her and began expressing his commiseration...
He had not witnessed the whole scene between Kashish and Sujal but had come just in time to hear the latter declare emphatically that their marriage was over....Sujal's words had filled him with a sense of victory which he could hardly conceal...He had accomplished what he had set out to do and the taste of success was very sweet...Watching Kashish look completely devastated after Sujal had left her, he had been wondering if it was the right time to let her know of his feelings...It took him only a few moments to decide that it was indeed the right time to strike...At a time when Kashish was feeling so broken and rejected, she would never refuse his support and love...It was with this in mind that he began his speech to Kashish in a soft, comforting voice...
"Kashish...I am really sorry...I had never imagined that Sujal could stoop to this level...Leave a girl like you for that Manasi....But please...dont get upset...please...U know that there is still one person in this world who cannot see you unhappy and that person is me..."....
Kashish stared at Piyush open-mouthed and was just about to brush aside his sympathy and begin to question him, when Piyush interrupted her and carried on in a soothing tone..."Kashish...you have your whole life in front of you...Why spend it pining for a man who never cared for you...Baar baar Sujal ne tumhe Manasi ke liye thukraya hai...Aur phir bhi tum uske paas gayi....usse pyaar kiya...kyon?....Jabki...Main tumse...I mean...I love you so much..."
"WHAT???", Kashish exclaimed in total wonderment, thinking she had heard wrong..."What did you just say???"
"Yes...Kashish...I love you...I cant tell you how much...", Piyush continued while Kashish stared at him speechlessly..."I have always loved you...Much before you got married to that Sujal...much before you started caring for him...Perhaps..perhaps from the day I first met you...Shall I tell you something?...I always wanted you to be mine...I knew we could have been very happy together...But that Sujal...", Piyush turned away slightly from Kashish, a look of hatred appearing on his face almost unknowingly..."That Sujal came in between...Sujal...who never wanted you...Who never deserved you...And who has now left you forever..."....
Kashish looked at Piyush, her eyes narrowed, the expressions on her face changing rapidly from dismay to shock to anger...This was turning out to be yet another unexpected conversation, but now suddenly things were becoming a lot clearer for her...It was a shocking clarity...but also the Truth...She opened her mouth to speak, as Piyush began to blame Sujal and then closed it again on second thought...
Meanwhile, Piyush continued to look in the distance and went on talking, complacently, his recent sense of triumph causing him to get a little carried away, " U know Kashish, Sujal has always been a very self-centered person...I am his friend, and I am still saying this because I have often been at the receiving end... All his life, he has got things very easily...and once he got them...he never realised their value...Now look at you...He got a treasure...but threw it away for Manasi...But Kashish...You dont have to compromise...Leave him...and we can make a new beginning...Together...we can forget all about Sujal...and start..."Piyush said turning to Kashish and suddenly stopped when he saw her face glimmering with rage....
"K..kkashish??", he mumbled uncertainly as Kashish walked upto him and raising her hand slapped him hard across the face...{ Do I hear sounds of chears and clapping somewhere???... 😃 }
Piyush stared at her dumbstruck as she grabbed him by the collar and shook him hard...her eyes burning with fury..."How DARE you Piyush?...How dare you do this?...I trusted you so much...I thought you were my friend...you were Sujal's friend...and you did this...You tried to separate us knowing fully how much we loved each other...Just for your own happiness...How COULD you Piyush?...How could you be so mean and despicable?...Kashish almost hissed with anger...
"K..Kashish...What are you saying?...I ..I think there is..some...misunderstanding...Sujal...has..."...Piyush gasped weakly feeling utterly bewildered at this sudden attack...
"Dont you even DARE take my Sujal's name!!!!"...Kashish literally shouted...She let go of Piyush's shirt and pushed him away violently so that he stumbled back and almost lost his balance..."I have been blind...absolutely stupid to believe you for even a moment...I will never forgive myself...but before that I will never ever forgive YOU for what you have done...."...Kashish paused for a breath and then continued in a tone full of bitterness...."Misunderstanding....You were the one who created misunderstanding all this while...You knew there was nothing between Manasi and Sujal...that Manasi was married...Yet you deliberately lied to me...You kept putting doubts in my mind..even when you must have known that she was not even in town...And on my birthday...you deliberately did not give me Sujal's message...How could you do this Piyush? How could you?...Why Piyush? Why?...", Kashish burst out all her pent-up anger and sorrow, spewing out unstoppably...
"Kashish..I..I..didnt...How do you know....I mean I ...I love..."...Piyush mumbled, groping for words, but Kashish swept aside his vain attempts...
"Love...", she thundered...."You talk of loving me...You dont know the first thing about love...You can only love yourself Mr. Piyush Raheja...You call my Sujal self-centered...Then what are you? ...You didnt think twice about betraying two people who displayed so much faith in you...in wrecking their happiness...And by the way...let me tell you...How could you imagine even in your wildest dreams that I could even look at you...Even if my Sujal hated me...did all things you said he did...I would never be able to love anyone but him...I dont know what you have been telling Sujal...but its because of you that he suspects that I have been unfaithful to him....But let me tell you one thing...I HATE YOU....Piyush...I hate you from the bottom of my heart...I dont know if Sujal and I will ever get back together again or not...But I know that I will never forgive you...NEVER!!!...."...
Piyush stared at Kashish in stunned silence...Things had gone horribly wrong...He didnt know how...And just when he had almost achieved his aim..."Kashish...please...listen to me once...", he said agitatedly, putting his hand on Kashish's shoulder but she shrugged it off immediately...She cast a glance of total revulsion at him and stalked off from there imperiously as Piyush continued to look after her....

It was late afternoon and Kashish was sitting in the living room, dismally staring into space...Several hours had passed since her confrontation with Sujal first and then Piyush...and since then...she had barely caught sight of either of them...She had tried to approach Sujal soon after leaving Piyush and explain things to him, but he had left as soon as he saw her enter the room as if the very sight of her was painful for him....She knew that he must be wondering why she was still in the house and in his life after he had told her categorically to leave....But there was no way she could do so...Not till she had told Sujal the truth she herself had discovered...Once he knew everything....it would be his choice whether he wanted to give their relationship a new lease of life or not...She didnt even know whether he would believe her or not....But she had to speak to him...just once...
"Kashish...", came Veena's voice suddenly from behind her and Kashish lifted her head with a start....
"Ji...Ji Aunty...", she asked enquiringly hoping that Veena aunty would not notice the signs of distress and emotional weariness on her face...Fortunately for her, Veena seemed in a hurry and immediately came to the point...
"Kashish...you have to go with Sujal and Piyush to Mr. Parekh's place right now...Their daughter-in-law gave birth to a baby girl last week and today they have kept a celebration to welcome their new guest...Your uncle is not feeling too well today, so the two of us cant go...But you children have to represent us...Ok?"....
Kashish looked at Veena in utter dismay...An outing with Sujal and Piyush....How was that possible?..."Aunty...actually today I am also not feeling upto it...So may be if we could avoid...."...she began hesitantly...but Veena's firm interjection cut her short...
"No Kashish....we cant avoid it....They have been very close to us and did a lot during yours and Sujal's wedding as well...If you dont want to go...then I will see if your Uncle and I can....", she stopped expectantly....
"Its alrite Aunty...I will go...", Kashish replied in a small voice and Veena beamed at her..."Thank you beta...you go and get ready...I will tell Sujal and Piyush...."...she said before hurrying away....
Kashish got up from the sofa she had been sitting on and began to slowly make her way towards her room...She didnt know what fate had in store for her now....Things were going totally out of her control....All she could hope for was that she would get a chance to speak to Sujal in the course of the evening and if possible...clear all misunderstanding between them....

Sujal, Kashish and Piyush were in the car driving towards the Parekh residence in total silence...Dusk had begun to fall now and the roads were getting busier as office-goers headed back home....All around the city, the usual evening buzz was apparent, but inside the car, there was total and unearthly silence...The very air seemed rapt in tension as all three of them sat with strained faces, fearing even to exchange glances with each other...
Sujal at the driver's seat kept his gaze straight ahead on the road, a hard, set expression on his face...He kept cursing his weakness for not having been able to refuse Veena Aunty, but it had been impossible to do so when she requested him with such confidence in his acquiesence....But he had made up his mind that he would not let any sign of his internal pain and sorrow be reflected on his face...especially in front of the two people who had caused it to him....He was already feeling humiliated at the though of the fact that he had unknowingly displayed his feelings in front of Kashish and did not want to repeat that ever...Even if Kashish was to go from his life, he could retain what was left of his dignity and self-respect....
Even so, he could not prevent himself from casting covert glances at Kashish beside him when she wasnt looking...He wondered why she was looking so pale and downcast now, especially when now she had got the freedom she wanted...Piyush had looked the same when he had caught sight of him briefly before he got into the car...Were they feeling embarassed in front of him...He wondered and felt like laughing bitterly at the thought...Embarassment after all they had done to him....He wished desperately he could get over with this evening...Tomorrow he would hand the divorce papers to Kashish and then get away from Shimla for a while...Try and put everything behind him...
Kashish kept looking wistfully at Sujal, wishing he would atleast acknowledge her presence, look at her angrily or even with sorrow, but not treat her as if she were a stranger to him...She was ready to expose Piyush there and then, in front of Piyush, but the forbidding look on Sujal's face made her think otherwise...It was even more of a torture to have to bear Piyush's presence...She had cast him a vile look, the one time she had caught his eye in the rear-view mirror and Piyush had almost shrunk back under its hatred...He slunk away int the seat, trying to make himself as unobtrusive as possible and wishing the drive would get over soon...
Suddenly, Sujal screeched the car to a halt and without saying a word, got out of it...Kashish looked at him in surprise and then seeing him heading for the florist on the other side of the road understood...Veena Aunty had instructed them to take a nice bouquet besides the other gifts she was sending the Parekhs and Sujal had probably gone to pick that up....She saw Piyush looking at her again in the mirror and gave him another dirty look....Piyush recoiled and hesitantly got out of the car....He looked once at Sujal who was crossing the road and then back at Kashish who was still glaring at him angrily...Thinking that it would probably be a better idea to follow Sujal than to stay there alone with Kashish and face her wrath again, he began to walk rapidly to join Sujal who was standing at the divider...
The road cleared for a moment and Sujal began to walk forward when suddenly he felt someone behind him...Turning back, he saw Piyush and for a moment his face constricted...He looked at him, and for a brief moment forgot where he was.... all the familiar emotions of anger, betrayal and jealousy rising up inside him...But besides these, he was conscious of an acute sadness...Sadness over the thought of the enormous distance which had sprung between them now...They had had so much to share..so many memories together...Now it was all gone...Piyush looked into Sujal's eyes briefly and for momentarily felt a pang as he saw the sorrow in them...Almost subconcsciously, he averted his gaze...Even as he did so, a loud scream brought both of them to reality with a start..."Suuuuujjjjaalll....Look out....Suuuujjjjallll....Move please...."...
Both of them turned to see Kashish waving to them frantically and then looked to the other side to see an overspeeding car just meters away from them...Sujal cast one glance at the car and another at Piyush who was just beside him...There was only one thing to do....He pushed Piyush forward violently and in a blur saw him fall on the sidewalk...Then it was all darkness....
