From being 243 for 4 to 273 all-out. NZ would be a little disappointed. The innings was headlined by one substantial partnership. 159 runs were added for the third wicket by Ravindra and Mitchell. Barring that no one else really got going for NZ. India started off superbly by removing the openers early. Bumrah and Siraj were on the money. But then Jadeja dropped Ravindra and he made India pay with some neat batting against spin and pace. Mitchell was NZ's mitochondria. He went on and scored a superb 130. For India, Shami was brought in and picked up a fifer. Bumrah and Siraj also kept it tight. The middle overs did go for a few as the spinners were taken on by the pair of Ravindra and Mitchell. From 19 for 2 to 178 for 3 to 273 all-out. This innings went through varied phases. India did help the visitors as well as they dropped a few catches. Will that come back to haunt them? The wicket is playing good for the batters but the slower balls are gripping. Not much turn on it. But 274 wouldn't be an easy score. We will be back in 25 mins.
