Sorry for the late review. I was out to visit some friends for Navaratri puja. Just now watched the episode. I wanted to say this about trps before I talk about today's episode. Last week's trps are at 1.7. I so wished the trps would raise up a little because the tension of will Imlie marry Agastya or not was done really well. So I am kind of disappointed that the trps did not go up. But that said, the 8:30PM show on ZeeTV had a fall and is now lower than Imlie and TMKOC which is a legacy show on SabTV had a fall of 0.1 trp and now the difference between Imlie and TMKOC is only 0.1. So here's hoping that the show will have a raise in numbers soon as Sai and the team are doing an excellent job on this show.
One thing I have to give it to the creatives - they are doing an excellent job of tying up the logical loopholes. The characters are sketched perfectly and the actors are just taking the show to another level. After a long time I am loving the story telling.
Agastya is a caring guy who cares for his family but he just could not take the betrayal that Sonali was about to serve him. He was boxed into a corner and he had no other go other than to make a contract marriage with the one girl he absolutely detests. But dare he show it on his face. He knows he is weaving a false narrative for the family but he does not show his nervousness in front of Sonali. Today Agastya was gloating that he won the baazi but I think it was his hurt that was talking today - a hurt of a brother being betrayed by his sister for taking away the business and somewhere Agastya has challenged the wounded lioness that is Sonali to attack him back. Now Sonali is not going to be quiet and she is going to look for the history of Imlie because she knows that Agastya married Imlie only to triumph over her. Agastya you really should not have challenged Sonali so openly.
And a good logical point - Agastya completely forgot that Jeeja knows about Imlie and he tried his level best to take Jeeja into his confidence. I guess Amrit is not going to come for some time as he does not know if Agastya knows the truth about him or not. I think Amrit thinks that Imlie has shown Agastya the voice recording she has made so he is not going to come out in open until he is sure that Agastya does not know anything. Good riddance - I don't want Jeeja in the mix until the misunderstandings clear a little between Agastya and Imlie.
So today the newly weds spelled out what the conditions are for the marriage. When Agastya showed the make shift bed on the floor, I was happy that at least he thought about Imlie's comfort. But nope guy has to go ahead and insult Imlie again by calling her a gold digger. Yup you keep on doing this Agastya beta and when you really fall for Imlie and tell her that you want her to be with you, she is never going to even believe it as you have drilled in her head that she is a gold digger according to you. Whatever you are dishing out today, it will come back to bite you later. I am glad that Imlie told Agastya not to insult money or her and try to give the payment to her with respect. After all Imlie did not come running to Agastya with proposal of marriage. It was Agastya who proposed the fake shaadi to Imlie so I don't know why he wants to put the money thing out always.
I absolutely loved Jugnu today. The moment he saw Sonali trying to instigate Dadi, he messaged his bhaiyaji and Agastya had to come down to manage the situation. I totally understand what Sonali is doing - She is trying to prove that Agastya is hiding something and she really hit it where it matters the most to the dadi - Family and khandaan. And here Imlie has run away to go meet Ashu as he was crying over the phone. The precap was super good - Agastya sees Imlie running away and also sees the family members wanting to meet Imlie. I feel Imlie will come back somehow to manage the situation.
Over all the story and show is going at a good pace and is working well. I just hope the numbers go up and we get the whole love story of Agastya and Imlie without fear of trps.
He is just finding temporary solutions and not looking at the bigger picture. And he is getting into bigger trouble by instigating Sonali. This Sonali- Choti Maa- mami- Bulbul are quite a handful.
