Ak had a supporter in nav previously she didn't have to handle the kid now she has to and she's just fumbling through it. Poor abhir.

In Asian countries, abortion is not allowed for above given reasons at all. Only if the fetus has a medical / genetic condition detected at end of 1st trimester, then parents are allowed to terminate the pregnancy if they wish.

Perhaps, you’re talking about termination of pregnancy in US or Canada or other countries where people can terminate for any reason.

In general I think its hard to get an abortion anywhere. I am not sure what India's policies on that are right now. But I think it's def possible to get an abortion in the context of the show. Like they have discussed it multiple times on the show by now and its not treated as such a big deal. Ak's first pregnancy Abhi wanted her to abort cause of her health reasons, Arohi wanted to abort too before Birlas convinced her that she would not be alone and now people are asking Ak to abort. So, I think its seen as a pretty accessible thing overall. Plus the Birlas own a hospital, I am sure they can bend the rules if needed.

I am more so talking about people's feelings regarding an abortion. Some women really don't want kids so they get one, or its the wrong time for example the mother is too young or financially unstable, or its a bad relationship that someone doesn't want to carry forward as a reminder, or like i mentioned societal pressure that someone is a mother out of wedlock or something.

Also, to my knowledge people can abort before 3 months easily. Like its only a pill, and their are no moral implications there. After 3 months it can get complicated cause you need a surgery and there are some hang ups with laws and stuff, and finally a late term pregnancy abortion is really hard and only done for extreme cases cause it can also harm the mother.

When she can’t treat her own son properly, who is she to question Manjari’s or Abhi’s parenthood!? Both Manjari and Abhi have handled insecurities among siblings much better than this woman! Instead of calling them out, she needs to learn a thing or two from them about unconditionally loving one’s child! Be it their own or not.
