New Zealand will be satisfied with this score. As the innings progressed, the wicket became slower and hitting shots on the rise was difficult. But at the top, Young and Conway had no such worries. The innings started with three maidens but soon the openers found their range. But Netherlands as they did throughout the innings did not allow any one batter to go big. Conway picked out deep mid-wicket, Young holed out off a top-edge, Mitchell was done in by a slower ball off-cutter. Ravindra was strangled down leg and Latham was stumped - all after making contributions. But from the 20-45 over phase it was not easy to score fluently. Edwards was right on top of his game too making the necessary bowling changes and the fielding was tidy too. Aryan Dutt was brought back to bowl at the death and he kept it tight while picking up two wickets. But the last three overs produced 50 and that should hurt Netherlands. We saw how the wicket becomes better to bat on under the lights, going by the previous games in this World Cup. So that should give Netherlands hope. We will be back for the chase in 25 minutes to see how it all pans out...
