StevO : "Wow! This innings by Markram has been immense class. Incredible strokeplay with a straight bat! Finally showing the glimpses of late of the player he was always meant to be! "

Sunny R: "I think this rule of keeping one less fielder outside the circle, for not completing overs in time, is quite injustice to the fielding team. They become late mostly because the batting team hits too many boundaries, which causes delays in bringing the ball back in the field, I think some extra time should be considered for the fielding team when they are conceding too many boundaries."
I just saw the score card!! 3 hundreds? Almost impossible target!

Rassie van der Dussen: Perfect day with bat. Swung up front, we worked hard in the middle overs. Was hot. But we had a blueprint in recent times. QDK's play in such times is unbelievable. Was special to watch Miller, Markram too. They found a nice length, into the wicket. Luckily I got through that patch. It's difficult to say if we can get more 400s, we just bat according to conditions, as we did today. Klaasen, Markram, Miller are the best hitters and they showed it today. Game's only halfway done, bowlers will have seen how it's going and will take learnings.
A hot day in Delhi and Sri Lanka have been absolutely cooked out here. Some audacious hitting from the Proteas, as they announce their intentions for the World Cup nice and early!! On a green deck, devoid of much turn, Sri Lanka didn't have the tools the opposition, and South Africa made merry. They lost Bavuma early, but then came a marathon 204-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen. Sri Lanka had a few chances, but when they didn't capitalize South Africa put them to the sword. Aggressive batting from this duo ensured they both scored brisk hundreds. Both were dismissed after their centuries, but then came the Markram mania. It is really something else to watch him batting in full tilt, and everyone except Sri Lanka's bowlers and fans would have enjoyed today. Some of the cleanest power hitting on show, as the South African vice-captain notched up a 49-ball hundred - the fastest in ODI WC history. Klaasen and Miller added finishing cameos, and 428 got added to the board. Is it already about damage limitation or will Sri Lanka go for the chase? Stick around to find out...
