This is so beautiful, loved the metaphor!

Dancer

She is dancing to his tunes. She has no control over the performance. He is playing music, the spectators are listening mesmerized but they can not see the music. She is translating his music to the form of dance and they are watching the music through it. She has total control over the performance, else the translation would not be so perfect.

How is she doing it? He has control over the performance, his job is easy. The instrument he is playing has no control over the performance, its job is easy.

She has control over the performance, yet she has no control over the performance. How is she doing it?

P.S: Don't know how this strange imagination came to my mind. Please forgive my mistakes.

An artist's dilemma!!

The dancer is thinking that she is dancing to his tunes, and he is in the opinion that , his music in some way enhances her artistic stills!!

Right!

I could not think from the musician's point of view.

This is wonderful!

Conflicting Desire

What is your problem?

Why do you want a place at my heart?

"I have the same question.

Why do you want a place in my heart?"

What rubbish!

I don't want a place in your heart.

"Really?"

Even if I want that

It's totally your fault.

If you did not try to win my heart,

If you did not come close to me,

The greed I feel towards you now

Would not have been born at my heart.

"But currently the situation is different.

Now I want a place in your heart

And you want a place in my heart

As well.

So what is your complaint?"

Let me explain.

It's true that I want a place in your heart.

But I want many other things too.

I want good food, beautiful clothes,

A luxurious, comfortable, long, healthy life.

I want my loved ones to be happy,

I don't want to be obedient to elders.

I don't want my consumers

To suffer because of me,

I want a successful career.

I want many more things

That I don't remember at this moment.

So I feel scared.

Sooner or later you will

Feel irritated with all these wants.

As a result, sooner or later

You will leave me forever.

That's why I am angry with you.

If you did not try to

Win my heart in the first place,

I would not have to live every moment

With the fear of losing you.

Gratitude

"Thank you"---

I did not think in my wildest dreams

That I would ever utter this phrase.

Complaints were all that I had in my heart.

May be today I don't have those complaints

But that does not make

Those complaints redundant.

At that point of time they were totally justified.

But today I feel grateful.

Why should I feel grateful?

Why should any one feel grateful

For getting what they deserve?

Alas! No one can decide

What one deserves and

What one does not.

In spite of this

A word of gratitude

Comes out inadvertently

From my ever ungrateful tongue.

Thank you

Not for anything else,

Just for this feeling of gratitude.
