It was pretty clear from the start that Viaan was attracted to Katha -albeit an unwilling attraction. His brain and heart were at war.He didn't want to admit that he was falling in love. The so-called "test" was the way his subconscious came up so that he could have what he wanted. He expected that the attraction will go away after ONS. It would also prove his theory that all women are gold diggers. So win-win. But in reality the ONS left him feeling ashamed of himself as well as disappointed in Katha. But the attraction for Katha didn't go away.
I admire the way they showed the ONS so aesthetically and realistically. Katha's reluctance and Viaan's ruthlessness in getting his money's worth. No vulgarity. But it's pretty clear what happened. Yes, people do take their clothes off. Really ITV is so prudish when Bollywood has been miles ahead for decades. There is no need to go as far as the web-series. But at least some realism is needed.
Now, that's your take and it is somewhat based on the turkish show where male lead was actually, sexually attracted to the female lead. Here, there isn't any sexual tension between them. Katha is an excellent speaker and he was impressed by by her dialogues and her work quality. Viaan Katha relationship before ONS is as equal as his relationship with other female employees like Jenny, Nivedita, etc..
Now Viaan's offer for ONS was not instant. He first rebuked Katha that company can't give her such a big loan like he would do with any other employee. But, Katha ran away. See episode 13. It is highly detailed. And, I wrote all those details in this post. There was some thinking from Viaan's side when he offered money to Katha:

The show is literally questioning its own premise. Is a relationship like this even valid if the person who had wronged (actually, did a crime) you in past actually made amends is actually worth a second try? If Yes, then, in which situations. I see a lot of dialogues happening post marriage if the makers remember the essence of this show. It was all about dialogues and misunderstanding.
I liked that Yuvraaj did clear that wrong is wrong no matter what happens and it is indeed a big revelation and a disturbing one too. But, don't know how he trusted his wife in a second. Or, there was some indication he got for it. I don't know until the episode airs.
