Ghum mein Sai had a gunda called Jagtap who harrassed her. He shot her dad dead and wanted to marry her. Had kidnapped her. He went to jail but came out later. In one track he returned and got Sai wrongly accused of medical negligence and killed Samrat too. But Sai saved Jagtaps life in another incident in her capacity as a doctor because its her job when he was shot by robbers. That incident impacted Jagtap. So he reformed and later he looked out for Sai from a distance when she lived alone with her daughter in a village. She always asked him to mind his business and not get involved in her life but he wanted to help her out wherever possible.

The actor playing Jagtap was excellent. He was good looking too and made Jagtap menacing but also had comic timing later on.

Rumi bhi menacing hai, scary hai. So I like watching him.

Rumi is there to make Angad the hero and Sahiba doormat who accepts his sympathy pretence with his bhabi because love is apparently crying in hospital, or fighting goons, but maintaining a decent relationship with bhabi (his family 👪) is too high a bar for Angad to meet in his true love because he has always lacked character.
