According to BOI site numbers, Jawan Hindi only will cross 400 crores today.

Yeah, maybe, but only Hindi isn't all-India Net.

If one adds Tarans number for the other languages, one gets more than 440 cr. for the Indian box office (the all Indian audience!) - for yesterday!

Jawan already crossed the 400 cr mark on Friday...

I vehemently dislike this practice to only value the Hindi-language version of an Indian movie instead of sacnilk who gives first the all-India number and in parentheses the different language numbers.

A wider consensus (worldwide) is always better at calibrating accurate numbers. smiley32

It has always baffled a lot of us why national numbers were mainly taken into consideration ...

To me, that's okay, because one can do a net collection for the domestic box-office (= all-India net).

The worldwide should be separate as it is the gross collection, so one has India gross + all other countries gross

2 boxoffice numbers (net domestic/gross worldwide) are better tools for comparisons among movies incomes, I think.

Gadar 2 hadn't an international run comparable to the Indian one, e.g., so worldwide gross tells that.

a movie like Dilwale had a not so favorable domestic boxoffice but a very good worldwide gross one, e.g.

Sunny isn't an internationally known actor as much as SRK, but a well rooted in India.

However, the verdict of a movie should also take in consideration the global success...

e.g. a flop in India can't be the final verdict when the movie was a hit in overseas...

We don't follow BOI

They keep reducing number of SRK movies, there are international Trackers who report for Avatar, Endgame, Nun...you name it, if those productions can't buy them ours can't too therefore I trust them

Comscore

Box office mojo

PS - Jawan will cross 400cr Hindi nett on Sunday, it has already grossed over $100M WW

You throw money on Harminder's face and he'll include Worldwide number to declare your movie a hit

BOI is bikau site, favours certain actors
