Both will be selected, I am fairly certain. Same with Nishtha and Ronita - those 2 are among the recognizable top talents in the show.
They are matching up talent to make the selection process interesting/competitive and getting audience involved. Plus there is scope for drama - like a fight between judges etc. etc.

Why are they making 2 people compete against each other instead of everyone? Isn't that unfair? I wanted both Nishtha and Ranita to be selected.

This season is being done by the ex-director of DID, Super Dancer and IBD who left Frames and made his own company. They only have experience in dance shows not singing shows, that's why we are seeing so much filler drama on SRGMP audition level because that's what he used to do earlier in dance shows like IBD etc. This season he left IBD and it was the least dramatic season of all (until Sony came in between and messed up everything by changing all the choreographers ).

Be prepared to see even more drama and timepass fillers as the show progresses
