Jawan indeed gives a much stronger mass-actioner feeling than Pathaan...I'm so happy that SRK did what he wanted to do since long...an out-and-out action movie...Pathaan was like a 'warm up', I feel, but with his own production and Atlee, it could be on another level...

Looks like corporate booking was in full swing the day advance booking was opened because now the advance booking has slowed down compared to day 1

Yeah, sure...it is clear that "corporate booking" will get mentioned by whoever wants to mention it - regardless how much truth it has...

Logic should tell everyone that the most bookings will be at the opening of the advance booking...and then it slows down gradually...

(I remember the Berlinale Filmfestival in 2008 when the buying for the OSO tickets opened...in a span of some minutes, all the tickets were sold...so they schedulded two additional screenings which got sold out rather quickly, too.)

Don't understimate SRK's screen power (so-called 'haters' are buyers. too smiley2 )

When producing himself, he won't ask nobody to buy tickets for him (and won't buy them himself)...what others do is because they themselves want to do so...he has a strong fan following not only among his fan clubs... as much there is hate for him, there is love for him (maybe even more of the latter).

Initially, talk was SRK and producer buy all tickets. Unfortunately, numbers prove this argument stupid because the cost of tickets would be beyond the net worth of SRK.

Now, it's corporate bookings.

1. Why are corporations booking for SRK without some return on investment?smiley36

2. If SRK is not popular, there won't be return on investment.

So they are spending crores and crores on an actor who they know can't bring audiences into theaters. Why, bhai, why?smiley36 I usually tell fellow SRK fans he is not actually King Khan.

His non-fans appear to believe it more. Apparently, he is so powerful that he can get multi billion dollar multinationals to spend millions of dollars over an unpopular movie star in Bollywood. Man, y'all believe this, then hate truly is a different form of love. You love SRK blindly.

Not to mention if they are corporates which actually function outside India and have to answer to tax authorities. I can just imagine the tax filings. 1 million - Pathan opening ticketssmiley36. And how they would send the info to shareholders.

Some logic has to be there, no, when making silly statements like corporate booking?

People blamed him for Pathaan when he wasn't even the producer. That movie literally revived Bollywood.

The producer's figure for Zero wasn't even 100 crore, but he did corporate booking for another production house. Anyway, who cares as long as SRK gets the money and is happy?

Corporate booking was definitely there in Pathaan. I had personally experienced it. Ticket price of the show i went to watch was ₹550. People sitting beside me and my friend had physical tickets. When i asked them how much did they pay for the tickets? They were clueless. The guy beside me said he had come to watch movie in theatre for the first time. I had discussed this with Guddu.Pandit after i came back from watching the movie
