It's not given specifically sirf high hone per. It's basically to control your blood sugar level. So it stays in the range that it's supposed too and it is supposed to be taken at regular intervals. Too much insulin can lead to hypoglycemia and not eating on time while being on insulin can also do that. But not taking insulin on time or skipping it can lead to things like dizziness, exhaustion, and thirst as well.

It all depends on when you last ate.

Additionally, sometimes, even people with high blood sugar can have low blood sugar because of their habits or lifestyle. And if you're prone to hypoglycemic episodes, there is another injection that's given in emergencies.
