Rizogalo at a local village cafe in Santorini. I don’t even have a sweet tooth and I still remember it tasted really good. Hole in the wall places always have the best food no matter where you go in the world.

there are so many good foods i have had but not in the recent past. Currently my diet is all boring and bland 😒

How is Santorini?? My cousin who just got married has gone there for her honeymoon. Main kab kahin jaongi. 😭

It was beautiful! There’s something for everyone. The city itself is always bustling and vibrant but if you are active and need to get away, you can hop on a ferry and go on a hike to the volcanic islands or climb really long steps by foot to visit secluded villages. I loved the serenity and quiet there. Would totally retire there if I could.

Not even a four hour flight from the UK? Just book the flights and surprise your husband one day? Greeks are lovely. I found them very friendly, warm and hospitable. Such a stark difference from American people in the cities. 😆

Also, Santorini, the city itself seems to be a popular destination for newlywed desis. I saw so many desi women with mehndi up to their elbows and mangalsutra holding hands with their new husbands. It was a cute sight.

Btw the best dish I have ever ate is veg pulav by my mother and dosa by my mother. She doesn't cook dosa anymore because of some superstition she believes in.
