ofcourse it matters😆 Officially 32 million Indians are NRIs..which is half the population of many European countries..and so many from the subcontinent consume Indian films..it’s almost like a soft power tool..spreading our culture, heritage and Indian-ness through our movies..we have been apologetic for too long to the whites for the song and dance format..sorry but they better suck up to it..European arty stuff is unbearably boring and totally pretentious and Hollywood is obsessed with VFX..Indian films (including major regional industries along with Bollywood) can bring a big contribution at world stage from entertainment industry perspective..anybody who thinks NRIs don’t matter..is silly..half of the politics in the country is influenced by the rich NRIs abroad lol!!

I maintain Gadar 2 will not make what Pathan made in Overseas. But that would be unrealistic to expect anyway.

Salman and Ranbir recent films (KKKBJ and TJMM) each barely crossed $5 million USD from all markets. I think if Gadar 2 is somewhere on that level its passable.

Haha..I’m loving the flip flop around the relevance of overseas collections..😆 the convenient application of it …depending on which actor, which movie etc 😆

Sorry but no, there has always been consistency around this. This is only a new practice where Dharma/YRF use worldwide numbers to make themselves feel better.

Do you know how Indian movies make money?....BY making money IN INDIA. Simple. This is a FACT. Not an opinion.

We can celebrate NRI's all we want, but it does not matter. If it does, then please contact Box Office verdict providers and tell them to go back in time, and make all those films hits that did well internationally. There are LOTS of movies that do well internationally and dont in India.

If a film is a blockbuster in India, but flop overseas -its STILL a blockbuster

If a film is a blockerbuster overseas, and flop in India - its STILL a flop.

Sorry but we are not changing the rules just to massage a certain Johar, Bhatt, Kapoor or Khan's ego. It is what it is.

I am not interested in all this 😆 all I care about is that the movie should be worth my time and money 😆 and I have no issues with Gadar2 underperforming overseas..ask SRK fans what their problem is and why they are trying to undermine what G2 has managed to do in India..they are legit behaving like SRK’s character from Darr on Twitter 😆 all trade analysts are also irritated with them lol..as for Alia.. you can keep saying she is blaah yada yada..doesn’t change anything for those who like watching her and liked RARKPK 😆

In my thinking, it is highly unfair to give a final verdict only based on the domestic financial outcome...it is simply the 'easiest way' because of knowing the tax-reduction and being able to give a net income.

There should be - from a certain year on - a list with net India and gross worldwide (including India gross + with names of the biggest contributors like USA, Canada, UK, China etc.).

Same to me...although I would not think like "underperforming", just not the same craze like in India (which is logical).

Bahar log soch rahe, ye public property destroy kar raha hai aur noise pollution kar raha hai.

(Context: Handpump scene and Sunny's random yelling)

Unko kya pata handpump wale rishte-naate aur emotions. 'Tum nahi samjhoge, kuch kuch hota hai'😆
