Vinod Kumar: 'Underperforming' Hardik Pandya has gone off radar since a long time. He has failed to make notable contributions with bat since his feats in Australia. He rarely completes his full quota of his overs as well.
varun yenni: Arshdeep bats so high in the order. Shows the lack of depth in the batting department.

That little cameo from Axar just about gets India through to a fighting total. India couldn’t quite match what they did with the bat in the previous game after choosing to go first having won the toss. Akeal Hosein removed both openers in quick succession
but SKY and Tilak Varma got India back on track. While the Windies kept chipping away with regular wickets, India were motoring along comfortably with SKY batting beautifully at one end. Once Hardik came in, India took a measured approach and played out a few overs cautiously. SKY brought up a well deserved fifty before a short burst of rain forced them off the field. Hardik was dimissed soon after and that proved to be the catalyst for a collapse of sorts as 5 wickets in 4 overs. They didn't quite get the desired surge at the back-end and probably ended up 10-15 runs short of what they would've hoped for. Romario Shepherd was the pick of the Windies bowlers as he picked up 4 for 31 from his 4 overs. India will still be confident of defending this though with the pitch offering something for the spinners. Back shortly for the chase.

12.40pm So, Gill and Jaiswal put on 165 for the opening stand yesterday and today, that's India's score. They will feel they are at least 15 runs short. Suryakumar Yadav once again drove their innings with a 45-ball 61. Tilak Varma gave good support with an 18-ball 27, but no other batter really got going. Shepherd with four wickets returned the best figures for West Indies, but it was Akeal Hosein who got the two openers early to give them the perfect start. Roston Chase got Tilak Varma as WI dried up the runs in the middle overs. Two rain delays also didn't help India's cause. And now they have a job on their hands in this decider. How will the chase go?
