On a side note, I think Siraj did a great job of capturing Wahaj's performance in TB. Wahaj looked like a million bucks in every scene. I mean, Wahaj looks great in Mein none the less, but not the same magic.

Wahaj as MKM his iconic shawl Royal mooch i mean no one can recreate that again. Jaid is a rich guy looking good but no kmk vibes.

I watched the first episode of Mein and really enjoyed it. I found it interesting and I’m curious of what happens next. I think if anyone tries to compare it to TB, they will be disappointed. TB was larger than life and the kind of show that comes once in a while. I’m glad this one isn’t larger than life in direction (even though people are filthy rich) because then it would feel like it’s competing with TB which I don’t think anyone should even try. I also felt some chemistry with the leads in their limited screen time together in this episode but again it isn’t something that you can compare with Murtasim and Meerab. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be. This starts off with Ayeza’s character already married and is celebrating her 2nd anniversary with Malik Zubair of all people 😂 That was so weird to see, lol.

I personally liked the yacht scene and Zaid’s entry 🤷🏻‍♀️ It worked for me according to his character. I wasn’t comparing him to Murtasim though. Of course Murtasim will always be iconic and his mannerisms went with that character. I liked how the show started off and I’m intrigued to go on watching. I doubt it will have the same chokehold over that TB had over me - that’s rare but I definitely enjoyed the first episode. I just really hope it doesn’t go downhill.

Actors act but if you don’t have good direction and editing skills and camera angel… then who will show the story??

I loved the episode too and also the chemistry between the leads …again if I compare it with Meerasim then it would fall flat but since I am not comparing so it worked for me … as far as the show touching the heights of TB, I seriously doubt it …it will be a hit show but won’t reach the levels of mad euphoria TB had…the bars it has set are way too high to jump.
