It was honestly a funny episode, and all the comedy material was provided by kandmaata. I mean she seriously had the nerve to keep saying that if court decided to give them abhir's custody then it must have been for a good reason, despite both her and Abhimanyu knowing fully well the literal only reason they were given abhir's custody was because they are rich, a real rude slap on the face to most of the parents in this world who are poor/middle-class (so by the court's logic most parents in the world should have their kids taken from them in favour of having a child adopted into a rich family then).
Then even after the umpteen time hearing from abhir how he can't live without his parents and that he will continue to run away to be with them, she still chose to be completely dismissive about abhir's happiness and feelings even after everything she has seen and heard. This woman can only function as abhi's mother.... her grandson wouldn't even land on number 10 on her list of priorities because all the other positions on that list are allotted to her son and her own ego/ feelings. She hasn't once actually thought as herself as abhir's grandmother, but only abhi's mother, which is why she keeps brushing off abhir's pain.
Then some criticism is required for anand and manish.
Anand spouting bakwaas about how abhir will get used to living without his mother the more they force abhir to live with birlas 🤪 Yeah sure, Birla's are such caring and good people to raise a child when they say such garbage for their own benefit, regardless of how miserable it makes a child.
I was rolling my eyes non-stop at manish talking about how akshara-abhinav's financial status will improve and him sulking. He really disappointed me because I was hoping at one point at least one character will point out that having an abundance of wealth isn't required to raise a child, yet even manish in his silly dialogues was propagating this silly itv logic that parents need to be wealthy to raise a child. A parent needs to be able to provide a safe environment for a child, provide the child with it's basic needs such as food, shelter education and emotional stability, and that's what most courts also expect from a parent/ parents, which is what Abhir has been getting all these years from akshara-abhinav.
I wasn't surprised at parth suggesting akshara-abhinav wouldn't be able to afford to send abhir abroad for studies, because what an absolute necessity it is in a child's upbring to get overseas education in a swanky school/ university
A lot of stupid things were said in this episode, and for once I had no criticism towards abhimanyu, because at least unlike his family elders who still couldn't give two-shits about the child who is suffering, he did wake up and realise his son's happiness and feelings are above whatever else anybody else thinks or wants.
