This is not a popular answer right now but no, the movie is not a hit and probably won’t be. Even average (a success as they’d call it) is questionable. It has a budget of 165 (conservative estimations) distributors are also listed as producers (Viacom18) so there’s no distribution price. There’s no information as to how much it was sold to smaller distributors or if at all. Pinkvilla claims it needs 120cr just to become an average but that would apply if there was a distribution price/investment of 60cr. What happened to Viacom18’s other 100cr they invested in the movie?

RRKPK is a very good example of how aggressive marketing can take over and change perceptions of fact. I’m really curious to see what the conversation will be like about this movie 6-7 months from now.

Apparently corporate booking is continuing today (Tuesday as well).

I remember the days of “Papa Roshan Calculator” 😆 I remember the discrepancy between his numbers and trade would be in double digits sometimes. I didn’t know he was reporting gross as net 🙄😂
