18:00 IST: After winning the Test series, India opened their account in the ODI format with a convincing win on Thursday. Jadeja and Kuldeep picked up 7 wickets combined as West Indies were bundled for 114 in 23 overs. India in reply shuffled their batting order and experimented, and despite losing some needless wickets, the Men in Blue got over the line comfortably. Hello and welcome to our coverage of the second game of this 3-match ODI series folks! Having failed to qualify for back-to-back World Cups, West Indies cricket is in shambles at present. Nothing seems to be going right for them and it's an equally tough time for fans of West Indies cricket. They do have some quality players, but they lack experience, in both the departments. On the other hand, India have all the bases covered, and they'll probably try to test their bench strength in this contest. Those who missed out in the first game might get a chance today. Stay around for the toss and teams..

The weather was a predictable hindrance. As Deivarayan Muthu wrote in the preview, the forecast is gloomier, with 50% chance of rain and things haven't got off to a great start. The preview also talks about West Indies' status quo and India's options in selection, so check it out.

Amit Kumar Yada: "India are surely gonna bat first if they win the toss irrespective of the conditions. WI will probably bowl first if they win the toss to make use of overcast conditions. In all certainty toss is going to be irrelevant. "

Vipin Gulati: "It's raining and supposed to rain 1-2" ! most likely this match will be rained out unless Rain Gods have mercy on us. "

The conditions have also been puzzling as the Tests had slow pitches where scoring as well as wicket-taking weren't always easy. However, the strip in the first ODI, also played in Bridgetown, had more juice and offered bowlers assistance. Needless to say, Jadeja was in business, as was Kuldeep. West Indies need to make shifts and adjustments to things big and, as Shai Hope mentioned, little.

SKY was wearing Sanju Samson's jersey last game, but Samson's non-selection has raised a few eyebrows. Axar Patel will also be well-suited to the spin-friendly conditions. How are their chances of selection? Watch Wasim Jaffer answer.

Mustafa Moudi : "I would recommend 2 Changes in the Top 7 for the World Cup (given they are fully Fit) - Rahul/Pant (WK) and Iyer must replace Ishan and SKY !!"

Hardik Pandya to lead India, no Rohit Sharma today..

Pitch report: It's the same pitch that was used for the first ODI. It's generally hard, but there are a few areas on the wicket that are spongy. The bowlers can extract some bounce and turn. There's variable bounce, so that will be challenging for the batters. The spinners will also get great degree of turn.

West Indies have won the toss and have opted to field

Shai Hope: We are going to bowl first, we saw what happened in the last game. The conditions will assist the bowlers. We got two games to play, so we got to win this one to stay alive. It has been a bit unpredictable. Both teams have to play on the same surface.

Pandya: We were looking to bat first. We want to see how much we can score on this pitch. Rohit and Virat have been playing constant cricket, so they are resting. I think when you get someone out for 115, it's a good sign. Our catching was impressive, but we can improve in certain areas.
