Beautiful movie, beautifully executed, beautifully directed and beautifully performed.

After long a full on entertainer. Kjo still got it.

Ranveer was so so good. This guy is just fire on screen, what presence and acting so natural, you feel he is rocky.

Alia has never looked this beautiful before. This is the most beautiful she has ever looked in a movie, not a single bad frame, gorgeous through out and her acting needs no praise, she is a powerhouse and particularly shines in one of the climatic sequences (i ain't giving any spoilers, those who have seen it know what I am talking about)

Shabana, Dharam, and all supporting actors playing alia's parents, ranveer's mother & sister were so bloody good!! Jaya, however, is let down by a one dimensional role which does not let an actor of her calibre truly shine and makes the entire act look very caricaturish.

The music is a huge huge letdown and quite shocking for a dharma esp kjo directed movie. If this had the music of an ADHM, imagine the magnitude

Overall, quite a fun ride. The first half was hilarious and second has some solid emotional sequences. Yes the film could be shorter, i agree 2 hours 50 min was a lot but for the most part it keeps you hooked and kudos to kjo for directing it well enough and to the amazing cast for delivering superb performances

The cameos were all meh and all i could think of was thank God i only have to bear them for some seconds

As for the BO, Ranveer has lost half of his fan following during the negative campaign against him by the so called SSR bots( not true SSR fans but they were going around in his name but with their own agendas) who spread toxic shit against him saying he grabbed every movie that SSR was about to do, and people believed this shit swearing to never watch his movies again. I personally know some hardcore fans who dropped him after all this.

As for Ranveer, he did basic ass movies like Jayeshbhai which didn’t elevate him at all. Because the roles one does also matter in building the fan following. Anyway, I bet he has a story to tell one day about this phase of his life. Good thing is, he is a wonderful actor and a quick learner too.
