Agree with most of your theory except the last part. What would Garry stop seerat? he would encourage her more, to degrade angad's image in front of family. After simran's truth he can also say : "jaisa baap waisa beta". Making family think he was right from the starting and angad plotted garry-seerat wedding for his hidden motives.
