I don’t know. Some people said he’s talking about Oppenheimer and the atomic bomb. I haven’t seen the movie so I’m not sure how it handles the bombs being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That still doesn’t change the fact that Bawaal tried to trivialize the Holocaust and undermined Hitler’s racism and antisemitism. Whataboutism is never a good argument.

I am so appalled by Bawaal’s concept that I decided not to watch it, I was just wondering what stupid excuse he was using, thanks for clarifying 😊

Varun is just making excuses here, so many Hollywood movies have been criticised for many reasons, even Barbie is being criticised by some people who think that it pulls down men.
I mean what has people criticising bawaal got to do with people criticising Hollywood movies? He is just unnecessarily trying to make a comparison here.

I don't get it why people take offense here...

Please tell me the exact place in the movie where the teacher is compared to Hitler...

I really get the feeling that criticism of others is repeated without having watched the movie.

Whatever Varun may say, I won't watch it because it seems to me (from the comments) that he is defensive instead of asking people what exactly they've seen in the movie as offensive and why...

There is no need to try to convince someone who already has a certain view on the movie (with or without having watched it).

I don't remember that SRK did that with any of his movies...either someone gets what one wants to convey or doesn't.

I have posted my opinion about the movie (and I'm German and should easier get offended if I feel something wrong in the movie). I really wonder how much some (if they've watched the movie) have listened to what was spoken (okay, I read the English subtitles...) but that is their understanding, not mine...it belongs to them...and this movie is as much a piece of art than others and prone to individual perception...
