Tell me about it, first the actor doesn't fit the character. Mayank did such as good job and left his mark as kairav, new actor is okay but it seems like.....like total personality transformation hogaya. I haven't watched the epi but based on the WU, it's sounding to me like Abhi was put under a lot of emotional pressure and guilt trip after hearing that Akshara has fallen ill.....so under this much pressure, it's understandable if he decided to finally give up cuz he couldn't watch everyone suffering.

They are allowing him this so that audience can't accuse him of trying to make that concession....he's fought long and hard for his son but was still willing to give him up when he saw the suffering going to this extent.

Ultimately destiny will still give his son back to him by a twist of fate....but he has shown the INTENT to step back. Rest will be out of his hands once Abhir runs away and sets something else in motion.
