There too Khushi takes decison for both of them. She taunts him for his past so he will agree for break up. I was reading it again yesterday and there Arnav was musing that he took all risks, he became cold person, lost the will to live because of khushi's foolish plan to shield him and make him happy.

Khushi on the other hand feels she can't make him happy so it's better to leave him. Reminds me of someone we all know.😉

When Arnav knows the truth he thinks what if I had gotten married to someone else and then I had gotten to know the truth or what if I lived my life hating Khushi for her lies not knowing the truth. I felt the same for this Khushi too. What if she had got to know the truth, not ONS but the secret Arnav is willing to take to his grave, after she was married to someone else?

When Arnav knows the reason, he is so forceful with her to her get her out of that mentality. He uses all tactics to make Khushi see the light as she is still stuck with 'u won't be happy with me' . He uses all his cunning to make Khushi happy with him and show her he is happy with her and only her.

This is actually a role reversal for resurgence. So now waiting for our khushi's reaction as Arnav will remain forever guilty in his mind. Would she able to pull him out of that. Should she even?

Both times, where in this FF Arnav and Khushi are alone with their pain, is the most emotional part to me. They play like a scene of a movie in my head 💔

When Khushi cries in front of her small temple, sitting and breaking down on the floor, jealous of even strangers on the road. It felt like I was physically hurt.

and then this. Where Arnav is confronting his pain alone. This paragraph gets to me soo much. Literally too much. I’d probably go ahead and say it was my favourite part of your writing. I can feel the suffocation and agony inside that car.

That he never imagined he would be a person who would fail so miserably in life. That he was capable of causing so much hurt.

He had missed the comfort and peace of Khushi’s arms since long. But today he missed the protection of those hugs. The only place that kept his hope alive that not all could be doomed in a world where she existed. The embrace where he forgot every bad thing that ever happened to him because she loved him more than he needed or deserved.

He had no idea how to get out of this storm. He has lost his anchor. He needed her to tell him what to do because he did not know right from wrong anymore in this wretched place. He needed her to smile at him and tell him that all was going to be okay because she was there. No matter what.

And so the ever elusive tears came and he put down his head on the steering while he wept silently for his Khushi; the only light he had known in the darkness of his world for about a decade now.

“I’m so tired of it all, Khushi.” He whispered into the void even as tears broke free and sobs after sobs left mighty Raizada’s lips.

Arnav tells Khushi that you internalise your hurt in ch5 but in rest of his musings like in prologue he says that Khushi is someone who wears her emotions on her sleeves.

And now either Khushi changed over the period of time or she never actually let her hurt show. She would keep that to herself.

I loved how back then Khushi clearly let him know that it bothered her. That he did not save her from any stress because she could sense there was something wrong. And the worst part it, the idiot promised her that he will not hide anything that’s bothering him 😭😭😭

but I guess he is used to do that for family. Even to them he never uttered a word about Money not being sufficient in college/school 💔

Yes he promised, but you see he needed assurances and khushi also failed to provide that. They both stopped proper communication. Started guessing and acting according to their guesses. In chapter 4 khushi clearly told him why she is happy with him , but when the baby thing came though she decided but failed to communicate the same. I know I must have posted hundred times, she didn’t stop the pill but didn’t tell him. That makes him believe that she will never be happy without a child. He tried to give her what she wanted to his best abilities, imagine how much stress he would have gone though in those four months not a day or week , they were trying for the baby!!! Even the thought of which gives him panic attack!!! No one can love her as much as this man does!! They both love each other but somewhere communication lines were cut . Everyone is blaming Arnav alone!!! But what stopped khushi to tell him when he left the bedroom after the attempts to get pregnant failed . They both misunderstood each other he thought she is unhappy because of baby, she knew he is withdrawing because of it but still didn’t try to assure him. I am not saying she shouldn’t want children but that’s not the point here!! Point is she had decided that Arnav is more important but still put him through the agony of trying for a baby and not tell him that he is more important. The didn’t just assume they had fought for it whole year and he relented, they tried for it genuinely (in Arnav’s eyes) and that put him through enormous stress that he decided to break it!!! Had khushi got pregnant he would have taken care and done everything that he needed to…

I don’t know why the responsibility of keeping the relationship and holding the communication is only his. Khushi was his wife, she started skirting around the problems but she still remains the righteous one!! We are talking about his promises , so khushi didn’t have any responsibilities towards the relationship ?It was only his marriage?

Arnav eventually wanted to share and he would have shared so when he couldn’t he went to Aakash but he was too late,( he had hurt her a lot specially in the month of November, khushi would have been hurt more as he took all the decisions on both their behalf.)

Also khushi was so hurt who would want to listen after the lunatics pics.

And no wife would want to hear from her husband that after 10 years he replaced her because he found someone more sophisticated.

That’s what she knew they don’t talk. Also makes me think she fed khushi something else to make sure!!!
Khushi didn’t go to the parties but waited for Arnav to come back and tell her all about it, that means that wasn’t a big problem and it worked for them. Then where did the insecurities about being gawar and unsophisticated came. In Arnav’s musings he always thought she is very graceful.
Also he didn’t take any decision, he wanted to talk with her about why it isn’t working between them anymore. If lunatics episode didn’t happen then he would have gotten a chance to finally talk. He had no need to engage lawyers.He didn’t ignore khushi that month ,he was too guilty to even look at her. He had decided that to wait for parents to come . He couldn’t have just played house with her in that situation.Just the thought about letting her go had pushed him to panic and that created more mess.

When Arnav decided to try for a baby, till then Khushi also wanted a child. It was only after the Nov-Dec’15 behaviour of Arnav that she steps back and decides that she doesn’t want a child.

When they were trying, she didn’t tell him she doesn’t want a child because she wanted one back then. She just wanted to wait till things were a little better between them and Arnav can finally be onboard one day.

Yeah she does want a child and saw Arnav being half heartedly ready. But why are we expecting her to immediately give up her dream of being a mother. Why was it wrong on her part to assume she can make things better because till now she has always done that.

Plus, Arnav mentioned that he never wanted to discuss with her why this sudden change of heart because he would lose the will and the courage.
Arnav was the one to put a stop to this discussion after dumping his acceptance for a child on her head and expected Khushi to agree because that’s what she wanted. Pill was a wise decision by her.

And Arnav clearly mentioned why he went away from Khushi this time. It was because he felt relieved everytime she told him she wasn’t pregnant yet. She was trying to talk to him and spend time with him but that time just made him realise that he absolutely does want a child even though he tried. Plus she was also afraid that the smallest of disagreements and he was abandoning her.

It wasn’t because of these 4 months he became convicted that Khushi wanted a child more than him. On the contrary she was trying to get things back to normal between them. He got concerned because he saw her with leher twice.

I have always maintained my stand that Arnav loves Khushi a lot. More than it shows in the FF and probably more than we know. I don’t find him guilty on any other count.

But communication stonewalling is his doing. Probably his only mistake. She repeatedly asked him what was wrong and even when she stopped talking about the baby altogether. Kept asking him to come back and he kept sending her away. At the end of the day she is also a human. She also has her limits. I can’t fault her for not immediately giving up her dream of a baby for a husband who wouldn’t even talk and hoping that he might change his mind someday. This is exactly how Arnav also saw her decision and situation and I think the author clarified, had the pill thing not happened, Arnav would have thought that she lied in her anniversary letter about not wanting a child since she could do anything to save the marriage.
