Because they are usually the more outspoken ones and wield a lot more power and influence. We need icons who are brave and care about the country, and not just themselves.

Holy mother of God! Take a bow Ashutosh Rana! Brave of him to be so outspoken. I hope Modi’s henchmen don’t harass him for this.

In my opinion, it is unfair to expect someone like SRK to openly/publicly give his opinion after what all had already happened when he did.

When he clearly reminded Modi - by adressing him personally - to respect the constitution it was even misconstrued as him bending to Modi's wishes and the pressure.

The others mentioned in the title also have their reasons for their reactions/non-reactions into a microphone (btw...I did not understand what Ashutosh said)

Since when are Ash and Amitabh 'outspoken'? . Amitabh at least tries to squeeze himself into every other issue by making a vague comment and then posting a pic of himself. But far from outspoken. Never a peep from Ash except for the rants about women or something ,that make no sense and were never meant to. To be fair to her she doesn't milk issues for attention either when she could have ,easily.

I agree with Clochette. SRK has tried and his faith puts him in a vulnerable spot. We can't expect him to say anything. Especially after what they did to his son. Shame on Kajol for not standing up for him back then.

ETA :- Aamir spoke up years ago and they told him to go to Pakistan. I'm leery of his conscientious citizen thing but what he said was true and valid. Intolerance has only gotten worse since then.

In a country where brainless people will boycott them and start rioting?? Where the govt will send the ED and NCB and other agencies to harass you if they don't like your opinion?

Only the smaller celebs can get away with saying what they want because nobody cares about their opinions in the first place. People like Swara Bhaskar rant every day. What difference does it make?

Lol....I don't know where this image of SRK being some real life "Hero" & Outspoken comes from. The man has never stood up for anything. The guy was even Mute when the CAA protests were happening....the last time Bollywood took any sort of stand. Hes an actor & a businessman. Let him be that. Reel life heroes are not real life heroes.

He is not. He was simply reciting a beautiful poem on communal harmony in even more a beautiful manner. Love his diction. Wonder why he doesn’t get more significant work. Weren’t he and Manoj Bajpayee from the same acting school graduated in the same year?
