107.2 Jadeja to Holder, no ball
WI: 229-5 after 108 overs
17:47 Local Time, 21:47 GMT, 03:17 IST: Stumps on day 3. The Indians didn't want to continue with their spinners as the light was fading. Day three -- 67 overs | 143 runs | 4 wickets. West Indies were in no hurry to score and India had to toil hard. Mukesh Kumar claimed his maiden Test wicket by removing debutant Kirk McKenzie in the first hour before the heavens opened up and forced early lunch. In the middle session, WI added just 57 runs in 34 overs but there was one big moment in that phase - Ashwin's beauty to castle captain Brathwaite. Blackwood kickstarted the final session with a boundary but he fell in the same over to Jadeja - courtesy Rahane's superb one-handed catch. Just when another partnership started to build, Siraj cleaned up Joshua Da Silva at the stroke of rain break. Play did resume and the Athanaze-Holder duo ensured no further setbacks. The hosts still trail by 209 runs and the second new ball is just 5.1-overs-old. India will look to make early inroads. Will the pitch deteriorate and make things interesting? Tune in tomorrow to find out....
5.49pm The umpires have a chat, and call the players off. And undoubtedly, that is stumps on a day when West Indies scored only 143 runs in 67 overs. They seem to be playing for a draw, with their batters not really committed to keep ticking on a pitch where the ball is only occasionally threatening to turn sharply. India struck four times, with the standout wicket being the ripper which cleaned Brathwaite up for 75. Only another ten runs, and India will be forced to bat again. The ball is still relatively new, so the visitors will fancy early wickets on day four, before looking to pile up quick runs.
Alick Athanaze: To be honest, I enjoyed it more than Dominica. It was about rebuilding. I thought there wasn't as much spin as Dominica. I found that they had proper bowling set for their plans. It was challenging. When you are in rhythm, the rain comes and you have to start all over again. The plan was to get out there and get a good stride out. I am new to the review system. Easy for me to put it behind. It is about batting long. We enjoy a challenge. Trying to stick to the basics.

West Indies made a good comeback in the match with a solid partnership with Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul for the opening wicket. The duo shared 71 runs for the opening wicket before Chanderpaul was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. Skipper Brathwaite was accompanied with debutante Kirk McKenzie in the middle at stumps on Day 2 with West Indies posting 86/1 in reply to India’s 438 in the first innings.
West Indies 229/5 at Stumps on Day 3, they still trail India by 209 runs, a fight shown by the Windies nonetheless, and after a game which finished in 3 days, the hosts will battle it out on Day 4.
End of Day 3 due to poor lighting, 22 overs bowled, 55 runs scored by the Windies, 2 wickets as West Indies reach 229/5.
