The timeframe between 2006-2009 is very crutial. And if we note Arpita has not put a single scene or reference between this time period. Last we get is Anjali having Baby and next immediately is on the film set of Kahin door in 2009

even then Arnav was unhappy with khushi going to bhagwanpur. his expressions changed when Aman asks is khushi bhabhi back

After all the investigation we do in all chapters, Arpita leaves next set of clues for us to go on a merry chase

In Raju( the mechanics musings they left their old home overnight). Why?

Arnav only blames himself or his father not Khushi. So guess it’s something they both did or did not do which is the root cause of most of their problems.

And his problems started from a very young age, he was made to sacrifice for the family since he was a kid, sometimes his studies, always worrying about the next disaster.

It can be one incident or combination of things happening all his life which has affected him mentally.

It’s can be 2006-2009 but they were very happy in 2009, Arnav was working hard but he was happy.

It can also be 2009-2011 when he started taking more stress. His relationship with his father had become rocky.

I am not going to blame Arnav for having supposedly ONS that day as he was clearly taken advantage of in his intoxicated state. I am still pretty sure that deed was not completed as I mentioned, explicitly in my previous comment earlier.

However, his actions have unintentionally hurt Kushi significantly. It makes me extremely sad. Even though Khushi had some insecurity issues but her biggest weakness is her unconditional devotion to Arnav which is not realistic in this world. My heart breaks for her more than for Arnav. She has inherent strength of character and very graceful. I just want her yo be happy at the end of story whichever decision she takes.

I also I am not happy with Arnav’reaction when Aman told truth about Lavanya and fake pregnancy, I feel thatArnav’s action was too benign, considering that pregnancy thing caused so much grief and anguish not only to himself, but has a potential to break khushi completely irrevocably. Heartbreaking thing for Khushi.

Instead of getting angry, he has guts to ask Aman why did you look into medical records. I don’t get it, and I am very disappointed and shocked with that statement. I understand he is righteous person but he finds out all cunningness of those bitches and thats what he says — really, not done😣. I expected to see blazing red hot anger against those two bitches.

And its only my opinion that even though he told about his divorce to those bitches in reply to Manali— was there really a dire need to divulge that information. He was kind of trying to relieve their anxiety/ fears but he never thought that he is telling his ONS and potential pregnant female about his plan of divorce and poor khushi who is living under his roof— he is ignoring her( understand it was his guilt) and has no clue of his plan. Again his righteousness is very selfish and almost make me question if he really loves khushi?. Yes he has guilt and he needs her but this behavior is hurtful.

I tried to remain unbiased and fair to both characters. My heart is definitely Team Khushi.

I don’t know what happened, but is it possible that Anjali died during childbirth and that could be his biggest issue not to have children?

Arnav thought of calling his Gudiya di from Bangalore after acquiring Mahesh firm. So Anjali is alive. (I don't know why do I remember this after reading this only once🫣).

Like me you also raised how the two women cornered him to talk about his divorce. (Yes, he was in tremendous guilt. Yes he believes La and blames himself for that ONS.)

The other question you raised regarding his reaction to Aman discovery...really bothered me.

Arpita addressed it as because of him being a honest businessman and not his style.

To me also when your entire life has gone for a toss..your first reaction would be anger and not think so rationally.

Plus his sarcastic dig with Manali is lost to me as a reader when he talks about La wanting a real relationship given he knows that he was conned by them.

Yes he was going to separate from Khushi but they have basically directed his decisioning. He knows that .

His reaction or no reaction, to the two, to me is too mild. This is not a business deal and this is not about him. But a naive, unprotected woman, he cares for.

In all his actions that he has taken..it seems he is thinking about everybody except Khushi. She is in the bottom of his priority list. So one questions does he even love her?

Irony is it not. Lucky for him then that Shyam was the prospective groom and he got to be the knight.

Hopefully seeing her so broken he will get his priorities straight.

Ps. We have his additional baggage of why he dreads being a dad.

May be, but every wife who loves her husband worries about these things. But if adventure is one’s passion you can’t choke them. My story mine goes on these. He comes back and tells me I only pray 🙏.

I think we all are thinking that something to do with Anjali and her baby caused the mental trauma around his terror of fathering a child. We all see that as more than not wanting just children but a full fledged phobia.

Yes, even I sympathize with him and I am the one that blasted him about his cold treatment around never wanting to have any connection other than financial with his child. I still see that as a mental burden that child will have to carry all his life that he was in fact so unwanted his biological father in fact abandoned him. I am not going to rehash this again. I don’t like him for that and I don’t think Khushi would either.

He made horrible decisions in his personal life and he has now destroyed his and Khushi’s life in effect at this point. Yet, he knew as a rational man he needed help and did nothing about it. God helps those who help themselves. I know with mental illness you don’t think straight. Is he depressed or have PTSD? He possibly has both. I believe the Arnav in the original IPKKND had PTSD. I am a no nonsense, proactive person but also I believe empathetic so that’s why for me when I see him making so many pig headed decisions that gets him even further in deep doo doo I lose my patience with him. We’re all different but I see one of his major flaws as running from his problems and being so confident he can solve everything by himself. We all can see how mixed up this thinking is. In his mixed up way he is choosing not to get the help he needs.

I tried to find the part about the phone call to his di but gave up. I am trying to recollect. He thought of calling, has her number saved but didn’t. Wasn’t that the time he was reminiscing about the old picture of Khushi that was his screen saver? I know I have many old contacts in my phone that are outdated and should be deleted. Maybe, that’s the case here and Anjali is no more. Without thinking his first instinct is to reach out to her for help.

My theory is the Puja they have every year is Anjali’s or the baby’s or both’s Barsi. Someone already mentioned that as a possibility. He runs away like the IPKKND Arnav does on his mom’s birthday. Something happened that Arnav couldn’t stop that was so traumatic that it broke his family apart.

Maybe the father sent Anjali back to her village husband who was mistreating her. Arnav tried to stop her from going.. Anjali chose to go back. Her not choosing Arnav in this matter because she was so traditional she didn’t even use her husband’s name. Then, when Arnav went back by train in their first year of marriage he witnessed something he wasn’t able to stop. Remember, he says to Khushi when he brings her back that they have gone through worst things in their marriage and survived.

Just a thought.
