Looks like RARKPK is going to Flop (or would just get Semi-Hit or Average tag to save face) and KJo and Alia know it. These new movie announcements are only a way to take away attention from that.

Ranveer and alia are doing city tour promotions for the movie, they also have many more promotion things planned, if they wanted attention away from it or thought its going to flop then they wouldn't even bother doing promotions.

Alia is starting this new film in September, which is why its being announcened now.

Of course they would promote. They would not just give up on their film before release. Announcing these movies is a way to take away attention from the upcoming flop she's going to give. But she would still promote RARKPK because its her job. Dharma is anyway known for promoting their movies extensively.
