Day 3: Tea Break - West Indies trail by 244 runs

14:41 Local Time, 18:41 GMT, 00:11 IST: Another productive session for the visitors, they added some more runs to their already massive tally before making a sudden declaration to come out there and knock a couple of Windies wickets over. India are in a prime position of winning this game and winning it today even. The pitch continues to provide heaps of turn and bounce, so much so that both Ashwin and Jadeja will be feeling right at home.

2.40pmEight sessions done in this Test and WI trail by 244 with eight wickets in hand. Three wickets this session - one from India's side and the two home openers. In all, the average session run-rate was a miserly 1.64. India's batting after lunch was a tad baffling due to their advantage, West Indies' totally understandable with the two Indian spinners keeping a leash.

We'll be back very shortly with the post-tea session. If West Indies crumble further, it could also be an extended session if the umpires think the game can be wrapped up today. The neutral fan would hope for a better fight from the hosts though.

Tim: "Big innings for Reifer. Considering he only bowled 4 overs out of 150-odd, he's clearly seen as a batter primarily and the failure of WI batters here, changes would be reckoned for the 2nd Test

Pratik Soholkae: "Typical Rahane reaction after taking a catch at slips.. gently throwing the ball towards his right.. God how much have I missed that.." -- that under-arm roll to the square-leg umpire is everyhing!

At the rate it's going, they'll probably want to dig this pitch up and take it with them. Facing a deficit of 244, the hosts are up against what looks like an insurmountable task. Right, we'll be back after Tea for the final session.

Welcome back for the final session of Day 3. Can India wrap it up in this session itself? They'll hope they can with some rain in the forecast for tomorrow and the day after as well
