@bold : ditto. I keep saying this but I am so done with ITV after this show.

I saw the ads of a few new shows - every single one had an angry misunderstood male lead and I was like bleargh. Being angry and misunderstood - needing to be fixed - does not make someone desirable or grounds for a solid relationship. I think that was the biggest thing that stood out in this story.
Oh well here were are writing its obituary, but who knows maybe it’ll finally get its act in order.

They should revamp the show and make it hotstar exclusive, write it only for online audience.

But by now we know the channel is really bad at taking feedback.

So going to enjoy what we got today...

I hope they do. We were cheated out of a courting/relationship phase - so I wish we get that if they do revamp it.

This story had so much potential, it still does.

The chemistry is still intact...so they could bring it back in January with better writing.

As you rightly said, this show stood out because of how well the ML was written.

ViDev are ❤ 😍. Let's hope the makers give these two the much deserved justice atleast now.

BtW news is in the air that nuksh show is going off air in August and star bharat may have revamp in 2024.

Bold-if it's true then I will miss videv on my screen.

But they didn't have any story left apart from showing 2 psycho. Wish they had utilized their chemistry and written the story focusing on age gap

Hope whatever time left they give us happy videv moments to cherish and do justice with writing further episodes

110% true, but ITV demands drama to keep the viewers hooked, and it's easier to conjure up drama in this scenario.

If the leads are understanding and supportive towards each other early, and you go down the marriage route early as well, the only source for drama would be in the in-laws, which no one really wants to see (example Gud se meetha Ishq on SB- non toxic ML and FL, married after 20 episodes, but never got above 0.1 and shut down soon)

If you need a separation track for drama (and one of ML/FL is shown OTT to justify it), it doesn't go down well with many viewers because they can no longer relate to the character who was shown earlier in the show. Case example Kumkum Bhagya- half the folks cannot relate to Ranbir's character now- he was very, very different and non toxic earlier in the show.

One can probably still manage a show without the ML being angry and misunderstood, but you'd need to delay the marriage as long as possible, and make the courting phase long.

It's sad 😭😭😭😭 😭😭 but yahi hota hai har baar. Age gap relationship ke story ko bina toxicity dikha sakte hain. ....Par yeh log psychopan se show ko bhare hein. I am getting annoyed 😠😠😠😠 with the nautanki of Jai and Amba.
