FF: IMPERATIVE IMPULSES [Ch17-20, 20/05/24 Completed] - Page 37

This is 14th chapter so far and my story's total word count is more than 62k so far. Except for 4 chapters, most of the chapters are longer than 4k word count. 🤪

And I am planning to keep it less than 20 chapters in any case. 18 would be ideal, but 20 is maximum. So, if I write all 20 chapters, then there are 6 chapters left. 6 chapters of 4k words each would make it an average of 24k words. And I am sure, there will few longer chapters as well. 😭

Writing long chapters is time consuming - takes more time to draft and edit each chapter.

Plus, I am afraid there will be less content to write about without dragging the story.

Thanks for the lovely write up. Finally Angad is leading his unseen side,fulfilling his responsibilities as well as with immense support,love and understanding towards his wife.

For, Shahiba, it is a new life which was in her dreams. She is willing to take challenges and fulfilling her dreams.

Great support and love towards each other, but definitely once they realize that feeling it will be something worth reading from your end.

Yeah I get you. But We as readers are always greedy so we won't mind long or longer chapters😃

But yeah I can imagine the effort and time spent on writing this. Thank you for that. Everyone who is writing sane charatecters and Os and ffs are actually sanity savers for this serials viewers

Thank you for reading the update. Yes, Angad and Sahiba are being practical at the moment, while Seerat continues being the moron she is.

London might give her confidence, but more than that, she would get the space to think for herself and maybe maintain healthy boundaries in her life for once.

Angad is not a softie, he and Sahiba both share a common ground, which makes them depend on each other. How healthy that dependence is, that will be seen in the later chapters.

Yes, Sahiba's multiple identities are something I wanted to write about because married women, particularly in the patriarchal setups, juggle so much unacknowledged responsibilities. Every responsibility makes everything real enough to render her incapable of evading it but unreal enough that she looses some part of her identity to it. I believe each woman deserves this acknowledgement in some form or the other.

I just wanted to have a logical explanation for regressive idea - I love testing my abilities to see how can I justify something unreasonable or beyond the character description. I thought why not expand on Akaal's background a little and make his decisions somewhat sentimental; it would be a nice addition to his age and humanity [human flaws].

As much I would like to take the compliment regarding Angad's character, I can't because right now not much about his unseen side is revealed. He has not done anything special for Sahiba yet. His unseen side would appear in 1 or 2 chapters later. 😳

Yes, Sahiba is going through loads of things and she would go through a billion more in near future. I have a hard time figuring out which ones to pick and which ones to drop!

As a reader I get what you are talking about. There are always few works that you wish never end or have at least longer updates. I have a huge list of such works. But as a writer, it is a completely different ballgame.

And before I began writing this fan-fiction, I had made only three attempts of writing prose. Each attempt has revealed my own shortcomings and a lesson. I must develop a great control and excellent planning skills towards my writing to master writing longer chapters without going crazy. Given this is the first fan-fiction I have written so far, it will take some time.

I echo your sentiment. I am thankful to everyone who has written or is currently writing. i get motivated to write and learn from them a lot. Even interactions with readers help me work out the details of the fan-fiction. They keep the forum sane, otherwise EDT feels like a battleground.

Yeah, I wished to cut down meaningless drama and get rid of slow pace. Like it is 14 chapters out of 20 and they lead pair is YET to START their romance! Plus, the spin-off would loose suspense if I focus on months between April-October.

Probably. But this is for much later. I have a different kind of build-up in mind. More like Sahiba learning things and Angad getting his own vixen. And then perhaps engaging in challenges and teasing each other. Without Angad going caveman on her. Like they are not even aware of others' presence when engaged in their own games.

AWWWW. Same here! I have enjoyed every single of your OS. Writing is my backup plan since the first time I ever bothered with writing prose. Like somewhere between plan P-T, if all other plans to provide me financially.🤣

I wish someone hire us already, but then the real world is messed up and is obsessed with problematic things in general. And functional brains are not in high demand. Wishful thinking and whining aside, we can either wait for our chance or really start working on changing the current trends or collaborate and leave changing trends to world.

PS: TMD production team bohot hi as people say in EDT, hutiya hai. They just do not know how to appreciate good writers tabhi parathe par episode bana dala. Kaun si family aisi bandi ko tolerate karegi jo unke ek bete shaadi ke din ditch karke bhaag gayi ho? Dimaag kidhar hai inka - us bandi koi kuch hi nahi kehta show mein except for her own husband - poori family actual criminal ki jagah innocent victim ke peeche padi hai woh bhi bina kisi logic ke. Sun ke sir dard hota hai inki plotline.
