Look at the softness between Virakhi as they hold THEIR child Vinayak, the one they raised together as a couple and perfectly loving parents, even when they didn't know that he is THEIR Vinu only. The chemistry, the shared love and bonding, the understanding, no other character or couple can ever have that understanding as Virakhi had, especially no jodi with Sai, coz the only POV she ever understood was her own.

Yes obviously downgrade toh ho hi raha hai, we know why so, but Sai Joshi was such a fierce character and such a lovable one too, my heart aches for that lioness who's claws were broken and injured to satisfy someone else. Khair, downgrading women is nothing new, women with kids and jobs and duniya bhar ka gyan and doing it everyday anyway. No idea what plans makers had post leap . Maybe they wanted to make VP and Saiya the EG or it was always Sairat but the fact won’t change that they gave up their plans if any of making another Jodi as EG and had to bring Sairat together . Doesn’t it tell the other two Jodi weren’t popular.
