Don't know if you've seen or even heard about the show "Return of the Superman" ( I know cz of YouTube) theres's a very cute kid there named Daebak. I later learned it's his nickname

When I read her/his name, i remember daebak too from TROS. How cute was the episode when he changed his name to Sian and when everyone was still calling him daebak. Good old episodes.

Hate remixes generally but this one is nice

I liked the female vocalist's portion, the recreation was tasteful overall. The makers and probably Kartik knew what they were doing and I am pretty sure they anticipated the outrage 😆but guess that's the whole point of this premature remake, the song, film and Kartik have been trending eversince the news dropped.

I believe the makers and cast is confident about the content of the film, what they're not confident about is the opening as there have been zilch promotions thanks to NGE's penury. They have like 3-4 days to create buzz on ground level, they might just end up succeeding in that in a cheap yet effective way😆. If this was indeed Kartik's call then I'd say he really knows his way with marketing, especially in today's day and age where almost all his contemporaries like Varun, Sid Malhotra, Vicky, even Shahid etc are being turned into OTT stars. One should really know how to evolve in terms of marketing, fee, budget etc.

Not gonna lie, I am ashamed to say I actually liked this version more than the original.😭

They shouldve just made their own song instead of copying though...sunna hi hai to original suno.

And did they even take permission this time, or did the same thing which they did with Nach Punjaban??

I never understood why they do this... the film will be based in UP, Gujrat, Maharashtra and randomly they'll throw in a Punjabi song. How does that even make sense 🥲

Not just that, they'll completely destroy it too by adding a couple Hindi portions 🤢

At least Satyaprem is supposed to be Gujju.

This was my gripe. Why is a gujju boy suddenly singing Punjabi? I don't mind remakes. When done right, cover versions can add flair without taking away from the original. At least they didn't try to alter it too much. But it feels like an unnecessary gimmick. That they don't have confidence in their movie to do well without latching onto something attention-seeking. And the simplified lyrics are a travesty.

I think if they rewrote the lyrics in Gujarati and added some dandiya/garba beats - it could have been a much more creative and interesting remake.

They have literally not promoted the film. Vicky Sara were everywhere promoting zhzb.
