But taking care of a baby is a full-time job. How was she supposed to do anything else? I agree about the freeloading - thatâs problematic considering she comes from money. I think Meerab was stuck in victim mentality and maybe now that she has someone dependent on her, she will come out of it. Only then can she appreciate those who supported her in life. Iâm an educated woman but my parents supported me in getting my university degree. When I got married and had kids, my husband supported me while I completed my graduate degree. I couldnât have done it without his support and similarly, I have supported him. It is very difficult to achieve these things without a support system. What Meerab viewed only as a cage because of the forced marriage, could have given her a way to achieve her hopes and dreams. Yes those dreams were initially crushed but Murtasim supported her dream later on. Maybe Meerab needed to go through this journey to appreciate what she did have. Meerab has definitely been through a lot but sometimes itâs how we deal with those obstacles that determine how happy we will be.Originally posted by: WanderingWonder
Iâm a big fan of finding oneâs self identity⌠I think most people are. But with Meerabâs character and story arc, they have really made a mockery of the whole concept of finding and establishing oneâs own identity within a marriage. I was truly expecting the opposite in this show⌠a beautiful real story about how itâs hard and time consuming, but possible to have both a joint and self- identity in marriage. As I was saying before, Meerabâs self-identity search has resulted in her now cutting sabzi, ghar ka safai, and sitting on the bed freeloading all day long. đ¤ They could have showed her doing more with herself in this time, and still missing her joint identity with her husband.
