The reason is easy they don't promote his movies well, change the release date many times, gave him mediocre scripts with new directors all the time and his best project in years was released to ott. Sidharth and Batra's worked years in Shershaah and for what? kjo sell the movie to an ott platform knowing that this movie was a winner and sid wanted this movie only in theatres. He's been disrespecting sid for a long time but it doesn't surprise me either because it's what he usually does with outsiders. He also ended Vijay's Bollywood career.

Kjo was the biggest name in BW 2 decades back.Today he makes Rocky our Rani..and Dharma has some other non discrpt films.Janhvi Kiara,Kriti,Sarah have multiple films they are doing-they don't need Kjo.

If Kjo doesn't announce another film for Aloo..he is of no use to her either.She is seen getting papped next to other directors..who will not open their mouths about the films her PR says she has signed.Why is Kjo not helping her.

Alia is also hell bent in getting people to forget that Kjo hyped her as a best actress.None of the films her PR is talking about, has anything for Alia as the best actress of this generation.

RK,RS,Alia-all hyped as best actors..Public is now wondering why they are doing films non actors can easily do.

RRKPR..could have had Varun-Kiara,Kartik-Kriti..or anyone else.would have made no difference.

Most parents are helpless in front of kids.

Usually it is a child who makes person bow and do anything or agree to anything they would perhaps not approve of otherwise.

MB may have disliked RK but ultimately bowed to what Alia wanted.

I have seen MB totally attached and vulnerable for his daughters. He once shouted at a journalist when they asked if depression was result of own weakness, at Shaheen's book launch and said it was not always person who was weak, it was the society that made person think so and pushed person to the edge. He got so aggressively defensive even though journo had not directly targeted Shaheen but MB took that question as an attack on own daughter.

He goes overboard in showing affection for kids, which is why people use it against him. Like he said he would have married Pooja if she was older and not his daughter. And people took that statement as proof of incest.

Sounds like one hell of an obsessed and possessive or hopelessly indulgent dad or probably does it all to make up for his neglecting kids in growing years and resolve his guilt for not being around or his kids and wives having to deal with his outbursts when he was young and alcoholic.

I read foreword of Shaheen's book and MB wrote that foreword and admitted his sharing his pain and confiding in daughter may have contributed to her depression as the child absorbed father's pain.

I feel perhaps Pooja and Shaheen also have drinking issues due to MB's use of alcohol to deal with issues. They picked lot of stuff from dad.

This is true. I am not seeing RK, RS, Alia do challenging roles like say Black if they are indeed best actors.

They are more hype than substance in recent times.

Gangubai is the only challenging film Alia has done besides Highway and Raazi in her career.

I am not seeing them select scripts that test their limits as actors or require much hard work.

You are right about films anyone could have done.

Or maybe they are trying to extend their shelf life and come across as 'young' and appeal to youth by doing these lighter and fluffy films. Like SRK kept doing romances and Salman kept doing masala films to keep fanbase intact.

I believe it is K Jo who is making Alia copy Deepika.

I see distinct Deepika hangover or wanting to emulate her follow her footsteps in Alia, only in recent times. I did not see her trying to copy DPad earlier as much.

In promos of her latest film, she seems to be inspired in certain parts to recreate Deepika's Padmavat and YJHD looks.

Coz kjo sees himself in her. She is the ugly bullied persona of his which he wants to improve.
