Is Arijit's voice overused in every other song and film?

It is a tad draining to hear Arijit wail in promos of every other film.

He does not have a pleasant or soothing voice quality like Udit, Kumar Sanu, Sonu, Sukhwinder, Abhijit, Vinod Rathod, Shaan etc, Rafi or Kishore era singers toh door ki baat hai.

His voice has no versatility or zing or spark or pleasantness to it. It is best suited for sad songs and he makes any song sound like a ballad of a wandering depressed minstrel. He sounds like voice grating on ears when he sings in high pitch.

Why is he getting so many songs, films and so much work when he sounds same in all songs, lacks versatility and has failed to score voice of any hero the way, say Udit had scored Aamir's and SRK's voice in 90s and 2000s and Kumar Sanu suited Ajay and Akshay, Sonu suited Hrithik and Govinda like a glove and Shaan suited Saif perfectly?

I do not know any actor whose voice Arijit has scored and suited so well that it seems like actor himself is singing. Except maybe ARK who himself had tailor made personality for roles like Aashiqui 2.

Is it not getting monotonous with his same style of singing and his voice used in every film?

Is he over exposed and an overrated, over used voice?

Same range same monetnous voice . Giving an example how he sang meri bheegi bheegi si in Kapil Sharma show both in Bengali and Hindi were so dull . His range and voice is limited. Overused. 😐

His voice is same in all songs, he is unbearable in high pitch and I wonder if he is capable of singing a happy song at all?

He makes anything sound sad.

He has even ruined old songs. His aaj phir tumpe pyaar aaya hai was not a patch on the original sung by Pankaj Udhas and Anuradha Paudwal nor had its passion or romantic tone.

I am fed up of hearing his voice in every damn film out there be it big budget or small.

I've actually preferred the cover versions of Arijit's songs, specially the new ones.

Nope, not for me. I ADORE his voice. All his depressing songs hit the spot like it ain’t anybody’s business.

At least Salman Khan’s movies don’t have him

Can't tell one song by him from another. They're all the same. Sensual wailing. Technically hes a good singer and his voice is good but his songs don't work. Maybe it's a genre problem.

He is excellent technically but I so agree he has been overused. In fact recently somewhere he sang a couple of lines from an Atif Aslam song….and that’s when I knew what a disservice music producers are doing by not giving us more texture in male voices.

Btw I know this is slightly off topic….but there is an issue with Bollywood songs ..there are fewer female songs and all the male numbers are being hogged by this guy, He is good but please there is more
