I don’t think there is any subject that should not be made. But it’s then also the choice of the audience what they think of the movie or the subject. Personally for me subject doesn’t matter but intention behind the subject matters which is clear from the way movie is directed and promoted. In my personal the intention behind TKF wasn’t honest , it wasn’t to tell a human story of loss but it was a politically motivated propaganda movie. But the intention behind OMG and PK was to have an honest conversation. Ofcourse this is my opinion others can have different opinions. Though I don’t think Adipurush falls in that category, I think director’s intentions were honest he just didn’t put the kind of effort not money but effort that is required for such a film.Originally posted by: MaxMayfield
frankly the hue and cry around TKF being made is shocking..it was a much milder depiction than what actually happened and the last scene which was on Girija Lal Tikku’s horrible death was also watered down as much as possible. My point is if we can watch movies glamourising gangsters and talking about PK and OMG..then why is there no place for a TKF in this country? Why do people want to brush all of this under the carpet.. let people watch everything and make an opinion for themselves..rowdy right is also a problem and loony left is also a problem..both sides need to come together to stop any kind of ban culture. As for Modi being tech savvy or media savvy..yep that’s true that he takes keen interest in film industry and perhaps recognises the powerful tool that it can become and can be leveraged…question is why is it a problem to make movies on any subject? I disliked Adipurush, I disliked Brahmastra, I disliked Pathaan, I disliked TJMM..but I am open to watching all of the above and I have watched all of them to have an opinion on them in the first place
To make it palatable to young audience they should also add laser, missile, X ray vision etc and show Ramayan and Mahabharat in same way as X Men.
Creative liberty zindabad.
Also show explicit intimate scenes between married couples and hope it will mint lot of money at BO.
Adipurush crashing is propaganda by liberandu and Jihadist anti national forces.
I completely agree with this being a badly made film that fails to bring the essence of Ramayana out in all its glory
But I’m not in support of the toxic hate the makers get (to the extent where people say they should be banned from working , the film should be banned, they should be jailed, they are terrorists, they should be mobbed )
Religious sentiments getting hurt is not an excuse to pass these kinds of threats or such vitriol against people ..they made a bad film that’s it ….they didn’t go massacre innocent lives for the kind of hate they are receiving
Most people agreed this isn’t a good depiction of the Ramayana so why take it so personally that ur religion was insulted ?
I’m a practicing Hindu and I chant hanuman chalisa regularly …my religion or faith isn’t so weak that I get offended by some randos wierd interpretation of it …that weird interpretation can also exist along with my faith and it’s not “threatening it” …
And I am definitely not saying nonsense against someone just coz I didn’t agree with their views
