Totally agree. Everything looks fake and forced!!Originally posted by: Mangs1303
Hey, everyone. Been occupied with my sister being hospitalised again, so haven't been on. I'd seen the first episode, then saw bits that didn't much like, so wasn't particularly fussed when I couldn't watch for about 2 weeks. My daughter updated me now and then, and I did a quick catch up over the weekend. Not inclined to sit through the full episodes, so clips zindabad.
1. Ram is borderline annoying with his attitude, the eating, and the spinelessness I don't know if it's intended or not, but the impression is that anyone can talk him into anything. Some great businessman! I was wondering how the birdie spoons were taking him, but I hear he's still lauded and revered. Ah, well.
2. So Priya lied about Yuvraj. How stupid, short-sighted, and shallow! Shallow because Alekha needs to know whom she's hooking up with, regardless of whether he's unlikely to pull the same stunt with her. She made herself look needy and pathetic, which was bad enough, but she branded her mother and sister as liars. Ewwww! Didn't watch fully, so asking hopefully if there's any justification given? Apart from that, do like Priya, more than expected.
3. Not a fan of Shalini. My first sighting of her was not one where she endeared herself to me, and I am rabid at the stunt she pulled to get Ram to marry. Very sweet and all she might be, but this was so sick! The things loving parents get away with in the name of devotion gets my goat. Also, why? Is marriage a warranty against being left alone? What if the wife dies? What if she's a gold digger in disguise? Why would you expect an unknown person to stand by a partner in a disaster? What's the logic? She barely knew/knows Priya. Where's the guarantee that someone who seems "lovely", nice, not greedy will actually fulfill her expectations? Riddikulus!
[I also have an issue with Ram's contrived (mostly) 'alone in a crowd" persona. Why the heck is he lonely? It's supposed to romanticise him, and set up Priya to "complete" him? Actually, didn't see much evidence of his tragic loneliness from whatever I saw, but I remember it was underlined in the beginning.]
Having said that, I have to say I enjoyed their scenes together. I'm surprised at Disha again. She actually doesn't let me miss my all-time fav, Priya Sood 1.0. To me, she's carrying Ram, because I'm not interested in watching Ram without her. With her, he's fun to watch. I'm praying she doesn't turn all pc and too good to be true, but slim chance!
One of the big put-offs for me is seeing the same old ugly, gloomy KM. Hate that place. Why would Alekha have her engagement there?
The story is rubbish. The only plus point for me is Priya, and NM and DP together, because they're entertaining right now. But for how long? We know where EK's shows go. It would have worked better if it'd been promoted differently, possibly with a different title.
Just a reminder: the more everyone hates on the third wheels, the more ss they will get and the worse their trouble-making. The more people are enraged, the more they vent, the more the discussions, and the more the illusion of success. So far, I haven't seen enough of them to find them unbearable, but from the Heera experience last time, I'm sure they will be.
