My possible theory regarding Dhruv's uncle-father.
The Maharani had him in a trance when they attempted to time travel.
The time travel was successful, but Maharani got imprisoned immediately, as was her companion.
When Dhruv's u/f regained his senses, he was shocked as to where he was and probably lost his sanity in the process, thinking he could never go back to his family. Some blows from the soldiers would've hastened the process.
By the time the Maharani tried to arrange something with her limited resources, he was already insane, and nothing could be done. He was incapable of travelling back in time alone.
It's also perhaps the reason she didn't really contest the Rajdand- she was away from her spouse and the kids, just like Dhruv's uncle-father was.

Doesn't sound impossible. Senapati might have tried really hard to find out what Maharani was hiding. In this scenario, Dhruv is more likely to kill Senapati. #ChiTi will have to die a brutal death. đ
The highlight of this episode for me.

In this scene- when he first cupped her face, I got the "Dr.Dhruv, hum tumhare swaasthya bigaadne waale hai" vibes from her. đ
It however changed to this
