Absolutely no problem in hugging, my brother daily hugs my mom but here bcoz of Deepshikhas live sessions the essence of mom and son hug is lost. We are viewing it as Deepshikha and Iqbal's hug rather than Dev Satya hugs.

Episode wise there’s a lot you can ffwd - here’s a quick recap.

Amba instigates Vikram to go get chithra back. Vikram is like your ploy won’t work - you think if chithra comes, dev will follow her here. He won’t - get dev out of your head. He gets slapped for his insolence toward dev and Amba threatens to cut him out of the will. She tells him to get chithra. Vikram drunk and mad leaves.

Dev and vidhi are talking about chithra when surprise surprise - vikram goes to her room when she’s sleeping and freaks her out. She screams - her brothers and bhabhi’s run to her and save the day. Dev and abhi take him back to Amba - and ask her to make sure he behaves/stays away.

I have to say - I like the new vikram - he seems to be a good actor!

Next day at the board meeting yogu tells Amba not to say anything and that he’ll handle everything. Kaushik comes with dev - everyone is like only board members blah blah. Kaushik is like I’ve sold my shares to dev. Dev takes a seat and tells everyone - he’s going to give a presentation on how the company is going to invest money, in whom et. He’s presenting and Amba is lost - she recalls all the times they (him out of no choice spent together) and what the doc says about her having only one/two years left to have kids. Dev wraps up his presentation - she writes a note for him, and slides it to him, it’s her asking to meet for 5 minutes for old times sake. Dev gets up walks out and on his way out throws the note in the trash.

At home everyone’s playing housie when jai comes in a panic and takes vidhi away in the name of some emergency. Nobody is happy. Vidhi tries to tell him that it’s Sunday and she’s with her family. Jai doesn’t listen and takes her. Vidhi can’t say no. Satya is unhappy - hamla are more unhappy. Dev finally comes home and he’s like where’s vidhi - bims tells him that jai came and took her. Dev is frustrated.

Jai and vidhi are in the car she is lost and tells him that this was not ok. He is like you’ll understand when you see - he gives her a big bhashan about how she is more than just daughter wife and bhabhi or whatever. She might think he is weird but he is doing this for her benefit. Then helps buckle her seatbelt. Vidhi is lost in devs thoughts as she remembers how he did the same for her eons ago.

At home dev receives a text from vidhi apologizing to him and that she couldn’t say no. Dev is annoyed and priya tries to tell him that she’ll be back soon it’ll be ok. With parents like hamla - one doesn’t need in-laws or enemies. Hamla jump on the opportunity and is like vidhi isn’t handling this correctly it’s not ok. She is our daughter - but you all are our family too. satya also adds fuel to the fire. Dev is like it is because it’s a new job.

At work jai tries to take vidhi inside holding her hand - she asks him to stop and tells him that she doesn’t like anyone other than her husband touching her. jai is like I’ve come from abroad this is very common there (no it’s not) - dint know it would be a big deal here.

He takes her to the common area where of course there’s a press conference. I ffwded this - I would have probably been able to sit through dev or priya or even vidhi doing this. The whole period thing and launching of stree-vidhi.

Vidhi is just confused.

Precap - jai gifts vidhi a car, satya tells dev that vidhi should know he’s waiting for her on an empty stomach. jai pretends to be his dad and pretends to praise himself for saving vidhi from the clutches of family life.

Couple of things about the episode

Couldn't miss Bim's hot pink lipstick.. What's going on there? Revu must be able to shed some insight on this.

What Vidhi wears to office ( pink and yellow nighty dress) Priya wears at night and that too much more classy color.

Is it just me Or satyavathi and Priya look swollen these days?

And what was Sathyawati upto when Chithra was screaming? So it's clear she only loiters around Dev's room. I swear I was having anxiety attack that she might come looking for hugs from Dev any minute after Vikram episode.
