Where to start. Let's start with our favorite SMJ. As Khushi found out that though shyaam is saying he is changed, her parents believe he has changed but ultimately he is still the old MCP but just with a brand new cover of understanding person. I just hope Khushi trusts her instincts and refuses this marriage. She is right to feel aversion and she is actually not in frame of mind to become a wife to someone else. She should just now stand up for herself.its high time

Payal is smart and intuitive. She has been true friend to Arnav and Khushi so is akash. Akash and Paayal's conversation showed what Arnav Khushi lacked. Conversation of equals. As both of them said Arnav has taken almost all decisions for them and Khushi has just gone along and when she actually tried to assert her wifey rights, she got to know about divorce and torn up the note

The note, it is so heart wrenching. What lack of communication do to a happy relationship. The lack of communication and care led to withering of it just like khushi's garden

Coming back to Arnav...finally payal was able to dealt a blow to his denial armor and made few hits. It's good she told him the truth of Khushi not letting go of the pills. Arnav has finally been cut off his knees and the letter is going to be the final nail. I just hope he packs his bags and go to Lucknow and talk to Khushi. Tell her everything and let her choose a future she wants for once and not take away that choice from her

Anjali seemed happy talking about her husband and child. Was she suffering from domestic abuse and didn't let anyone know? What exactly happened to her which took heavy toll on Arnav and khushi's relationship too

P.s. the interaction between Mahesh and Arnav at the start is significant but I almost forgot about it when I read the rest of the chapter. This are happening very fast. Can't wait to see how they unfold

Hahaha…I’m so sorry. This chapter was supposed to end on Khushi’s accident but I realized this whole thing with Arnav/Payal and him finding the note just fits in here when Khushi is lost once again.

I know Arnav’s actions become douchier when you realize khushi made her last attempt to save a marriage that was everything to her. He should’ve realized it right when he found the note. It’s on him.

Akash and Payal in this story - certainly a more sorted couple than Arnav and Khushi. As you said, equals.

And yeah Anjali has arrived in the story, and she has more roles to play in their lives. Thanks for the feedback ♥️

It’s weird you know at the end it’s fiction. But somewhere it has touched something in me that I can not describe. May be because of marriages crumbling around me, may be as a girl I still feel it’s always us who have to adjust more. You can be from anywhere in the world but the fact is in most cases it’s we who have to adjust. I don’t know.

Plus you write beautifully that’s for sure.

Coming back to the chapter, I feel so sad for Khushi, Shyam is not someone she wants and I hope for once she stands up for herself and just refuse.

But the question is does Arnav actually deserve her. He does miss her, he may love her but does he love her enough. Like the photo as his wallpaper, is that actually a habit which he keeps telling himself or is that love.

If Khushi had not left and remained friends like he wanted would it still make him so sad and miserable like he is now even if she was not his wife anymore.

Then he is so sure her new husband will love her, if she was so loveable why did you let her go. I really want to bang his head like Payal.

For success he is ready to do anything even let one person go from his life who never wanted anything from him just gave.

And the biggest obstacle is his INFIDELITY which is stopping him. I don’t think that can be forgiven.

But at least he should apologise.

Also, I feel Arnav was expecting that Khushi will contest the divorce. Was he expecting that she will forgive him for his cheating episode with Lavanya when she begs him not to break the marriage.

Honestly I am confused whether Arnav actually loves Khushi or not.

Beautiful update.

Awww…thank you so much Tashi ♥️

You raise good points about Arnav and his actions. And every character in the story disagrees with each other on all these topics.

Would Arnav have been this miserable had Khushi stayed in Mumbai and in touch? Arnav thinks he would have been fine in such case. Akash Payal and his therapist think he still would’ve missed Khushi. We can’t really know how he would have acted out in a scenario that did not even happen.

Now he doesn’t want to ineterfere in Khushi’s life despite his discomfort because he doesn’t think he has a right to do so. He is correct in a way. But Akash and Payal are also right. Khushi should be a part of this decision. Arnav did want to talk to her remember? But even then he was convinced this is what he wanted. Akash believed the outcome of that talk could have been different. But again, that’s a scenario that didn’t happen so we wouldn’t know. All in all, a very grey area.

As this story is from Arnav's POV, we are getting this thoughts and actions from his thoughts and those around him

Khushi keeps showing her strength through small actions like by not reaching out to him once. even if Arnav tells her everything, talks, begs her i hope she takes a moment and reflect on everything her life has been so far, her own aspirations and dreams and her wants

I want to see payal's reaction on knowing about his cheating. I think she will be angry on behalf of khushi too :P, i am guessing khushi has heard rumours or did she gets the photographs arnav tried to suppress initially on the day of anniversary? but i doubt that. i will go with my guess that she has guessed but dont know concretely :)

. why i am making this another comments is i am happy i predicted arnav will miss the domesticity he so resented at the start. now the question is does he just want khushi around because he is habitual to her or does he actually wants her back for real and want the original relationship they shared. will he take the required efforts even if khushi comes back?

what happened in past? looks like khushi meets with accident in that small flashback of 2006?

you have provided so much updates in this chapter that new things keep popping in mind but i am rambling and i will stop

waiting for next weekend with bated breath

we’ll, that is a problem with Khushi’s character right. Her life begins and ends at her family. So what aspirations would she really fight for? Everyone around her isn’t concerned about that either. For them, settling her down is more important.

Arnav has a lot to figure out. Is he missing Khushi? Is he just used to her? Is he feeling guilty? Is any of this enough to go to Khushi? He was right when he explained his dilemma to Payal. What exactly does he have to offer Khushi after hurting her so much?

As far as the characters go, I believe Payal finding out is going to be more explosive than Khushi finding out about Lavanya 😉

Yeah, Khushi did meet with an accident in the flashback.the young couple will have to go through that scary time.

Arnav did not read the complete letter then but would it have mattered at all? They had stopped talking and for Arnav marriage had become stale. It was a habit to fell her around running the house ,while avoiding each other. So sad. Reading the note now ,he knows what she wanted. Will this change anything?

Thank you Arpita.

Thanj you. The question you posed about whether things would have changed with the full note is a good one. The question is still the same and now Arnav knows what she truly wanted. In fact just how much more Arnav mattered than being a mother. Let’s see if it changes anything even now. :)

Ahhhhhh! I can't breath. I can't breath thinking that the day she was writing this note, her husband was discussing them with another woman on how he is not a child to flip on life-altering decisions every other day & how the upcoming conversation would have been easier if she would have overheard him.

The contrast of feelings between two people in the same moment who were/are in love and married.

I want to be part of this world that’s so dear to you. I want to go out with you to all the places where you’re important. I’m willing to learn the ways of your world, to travel all of it in fact. In turn, I want you to be part of mine -- As they say Too little, Too Late.

The desperation of khushi to save them, to save the marriage in the note. It is one thing to know your relation has slipped away but it is just gut wrenchingly another thing to see it slipping away.

A khushi who have written such a heartfelt note in December,15 to her Arnav-her whole world and a khushi who went to meet her prospective groom in March,16- a difference of just 3 months shows how aloof/cold she has become to her own feelings and also how much strength she helds in her core.

When she asked for permission for taking the car probably we all thought she knew about L but the following updates made me think she don't, but after this one I am confused again. In my thinking of 100s of possibilities on how will khushi know about L i did thought what if the photographs were emailed even to her or what if the foot steps during the call (prolouge) were her's and so she gave up without absolutely any fight but then i thought may be not a possibility rather the fact that Arnav didn't even so much wish her on the anniversary and the confirmation from aman led her to believe there is no hope left and so she tore the rest of the letter and just went with the I Love You, rather 'yet' went with the I Love You..(a woman's heart who is still in love).

I also thought about all the dresses and jewelleries and guessed that she must have left all behind, infact my overdramatic mind went onto thinking that may she would leave her mangalsutra and wedding ring also. (face palm)

The past and present of she was lost and she is lost, and your brilliance as a writer, hats off Arpita.

I have noticed all the initials years of their marriage, struggles and being in love is always more from khushi's lens and the recent years of their distance is from arnav's, will we get a pov of recent years on what went wrong from khushi's lens.?

Rest about bitebox and shyam i don't feel much yet except he is yet to travel a long road to become what he shows. The last part of the story consumed all my emotions and overshadowed the rest for me.

As the other reader tashi26 said may be because we all are women and so we feel this deeply for this story basically for khushi....I think so too. It is always (or probably most of the times) the khushi-s in life who suffers the most even when the fault lies with the arnav-s. I have tried to feel sympathy for arnav while reading, but can't help to feel a sadistic pleasure in his suffering (a miniscule of it in comparison to khushi's), and the only thing that holds me from feeling anything is his infidelity.

Thank you puja. As always your comment leaves me with a smile ♥️♥️♥️

I understand your point about the note. If anything it makes Arnav’s actions much more worse. Khushi took away one thing that Arnav thought was necessary for an amiable split. They had to talk about their issues. He was about to tell her of Lavanya and believed truly that Khushi would have agreed to divorce immediately. Akash although thinks that this talk could’ve changed the outcome. He believes only Khushi has a right to decide for herself. Arnav cannot assume what she would’ve wanted as Payal told him just how wrong he was about Khushi’s choice in the matter of a child vs Arnav.

Khushi and Arnav’s POVs are kept this way by design. Thanks for noticing. As readers we are sure that from the initial years of marriage, Khushi was undoubtedly in love. But the question remains throughout the story. Was Arnav in love? Or was he just being the gentleman and the nice person that he was.

Had Arnav broached the topic of divorce with her, she would have walked through hell and sacrificed everything (kids, adjusting to his world and decreasing the trips to Lucknow and so on) for him, not because she is a doormat, but simply because she loved him too much.

Khushi has changed and she learnt to be independent and progressive. She will eventually learn to say no and and live for herself. She is miserable right now. But, she is figuring out things by herself and for herself. If one is pushed to the wall, there is nowhere else to go. They have to eventually turn around and and find their way out.

Arnav may have done it thinking it is good for Khushi. But, he will eventually learn that it is neither good for Khushi nor good for him.

What an irony! 10 years later Mahesh thought he should have given priority to family before business just like Arnav. By the time he realised and giving priority to his family, Arnav has changed and now business is everything for Arnav.

Anjali and baby Kavya made an appearance. The husband looked fine when he took charge and made sure everything is fine with his wife and daughter. Many scenario's are popping up in my head.

How is Anjali and where is she now? If she is Anjali Raizada, then Kavya's father is not in the picture any more. Did he change later? You know the obsession for a boy kid and the jazz.

Kavya is about 10 years old now.

Arnav's anger towards his family is certainly related to Anjali and Kavya. Did Arnav's parents unknowingly support Anjali's husband and reprimand Anjali?

I am glad Khushi learnt about Shyam sooner than later.

I am glad Akash is pushing Payal in making a headway with Arnav.

Another wonderful chapter.

We love the 17K or 20 K chapters.

Cheers..

thank you so much Raji ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Your first point is so so important. And this is the only case for Arnav’s argument. I do hope more people will eventually pick up on this argument as well.

Everyone is telling Arnav he shouldn’t have let Khushi go without the talk or thought about divorce without asking her first. But he knows Khushi. Had he really asked her what was more important for Khushi, a child or him, Khushi would’ve chosen him. And even if she wasn’t lying, Arnav wouldn’t trust it. In his head, he was freeing her. This is the most grey thing I have ever written. I have no idea if Arnav was right in thinking so or if Akash/Payal are the ones with correct solution. I understand the pov of all characters so it becomes tougher for me.

Khushi truly is at rock bottom. Whatever she chooses now, will only lead to progress. But she is heartbroken and very fragile.

And yeah, as promised, Anjali and Kavya are here. Her story arc does play a huge role in Arshi’s past life as well as affecting the future of our couple from here onwards :)
