Murtasim isn't there physically but still protecting her, the road to exit his life is lit to ensure she doesn't trip on her way out. We see the darkness of the night, but the path she walks on is not dark there is hope. This hope will keep Murtasim's heart beating as he waits for his wife to come back to him. Murtasim will keep this path lit, so Meerab can find her way back home.

This is what Meerab needs now, we don't need to fully understand it or agree with her reasons, but if this what she needs to do to put it all back together then so be it. Meerab version 3.0 will be for keeps for Murtasim Khan, this version of her will be what he always envisioned her as being when he proudly called her 'Meri Meerab'. Dream will become a reality for both of them.
