I also think that everything we imbibe when growing up, become strong influences to tie us to a community....and apart from family bonds, religion is the one attribute that one can make work intensely on the emotional level to create a sense of belonging (and therefore sectarian loyalties).

For me religion is the most important stuff but I don't kill anyone for it..,I respect everyone and try to be a better person. After all soon we will leave our physical bodies and the other life is what matter 😌 I'm not going to end up like Lil Nas twerking in hell 😆☝

Yes, it is about tribes in Manipur.

However looking at the list of riots that happened in India since independence, the overwhelming number of incidences are between religious groups.

So, like Minty asked, why those fights (allegedly) over religion? Why not use religion as a tool of understanding, love and compassion (the positive side of religion)?

More silly is attack own country etc.. for pseudo film stars . Silly , ugly fan wars. 👎🏼
