I also agree with you about episode 48. He was on the verge of giving up which you can see when he first sees her at the rukhsati. Normally he would have been blown away by her beauty but he was defeated. However all it took was one little note for logic to go out the window. He wants her to want him so bad. I imagined he caved right away with the slightest advances from her. They were just in such a bad place emotionally and mentally that timing wasnāt right.
