Did voting exist back in the 17th century? Were praja's opinions taken before making a reform? Did they even matter or was it all about the king?

I haven't seen detailed spoilers, but I'm assuming Dhruv will allowed to cast a decisive vote in Monday's episode? (because for and against are equal currently)

What was the chaal that Senapati said he'd do? I thought he'd play around with the colour of the coins or something.

A little surprised at the extra votes in the last round of counting in favour of Tara!

Hmm... possible.

There are obvious safeguards to prevent it though (total coins present at the beginning, exact number of eligible popn to vote etc), although I doubt they'd have been employed in the 17th century.
