Hi dear, thanks for remembering me and your kind message. I have watched many shows and relied on IF as a silent reader for most but I only got active on this forum because the people always made humorous and insightful posts. It was lovely to interact with everyone and get new perspectives but now the show has truly become beyond any sort of redemption.

You may call it a sudden realisation but I woke up one morning about a week ago and thought that I do not want any truck absolutely with the (self-inflicted) miseries of an (unpaid) maid trying to belence her useless matke. Anupamaa will always be a doormat. Other good characters are ruined as well except for DKP’s favourite devious duo. I have zero interest in watching Anupamaid being BFF with her abusive philandering ex. Shameless shahs' April Fools apology may be believable for some but it is a non-negotiable for me. Which is why I went cold turkey because the forum ends up linking me to the show in a way and not watching something I talk about is not possible for me personally.

Yes, we have mocked her out of frustration many a times, but the character of Anupamaa truly deserves better. But DKP will just show her being stuck in the past, slaving for abusive ex-in-laws. Which is an absolutely wrong and pathetic message considering the reach and popularity of the show. Infact, this filthy mentality seems to be pervasive across the channel. If you look at the promo of their latest offering, yet again it is about a doormat female dealing with an abusive toxic husband and I’m sure she will never achieveanything because it’ll be justified in the name of love.

All I can say to all the witty people I have interacted with is to stop watching this shitshow or discussing it. Because it truly doesn’t deserve sane viewers wasting their time and emotion on it in any sense.

I am happy for you and I would want to cut off from this show entirely too. This forum is almost addicting and truth be told I am still invested in the Anupama and Anuj that I had seen and loved. It's proving more difficult to let go than I thought.

Truly, Anupama deserved better. I remember rooting for Anupama in the early days as she was someone who could be as relatable as possible in an ITV show on a middle aged woman searching for her own individuality after so many years. That show with its moving tracks of Anupama learning to drive, going out with Devika under the Shahs nose, taking divorce, moving to a rented house and so many things seems to be a different one with no resemblance to this one.
