I finished reading the valiant knight. A girl named Khushi, unexpectedly expected and best laid plans are my next follow ups. I actually logged into IF after all these years because I wanted to read hands of time. Sadly, it is not available anymore.

Thank you. Except valiant knight I think i have read all the others, i will check nonetheless.

True there are so many good stories and writers its impossible to keep a tab on all.

I recently went back to all stories by Smrita Chandran, she has written uncountable stories on Arshi, simple, beautiful heartwarming stories (if you have read her you will know). I don't know if she writes anymore she left some of her stories unfinished on her blog, updated last probably in 2020-21. I miss reading her.

Thank you for saying this.

I remember once watching an interview of a famous producer of our film industry who, when asked something on relationship (I forgot the exact question) said-- just don't break/end everything because of infidelity, that may be the person still loves you, but that sometimes sex outside the relation/marriage is just a physical need.

I remember being shocked at that statement and just staring at my screen for some secs trying to fathom what he just said.

So, I loved how you phrased the statement. It has almost become a norm to discount every morally wrong deeds in the current woke culture that we live in, forgetting the basic compass of right and wrong that we were taught when young.

Thanks Puja. 😊

I don't think an affair can be a reason for a divorce. Not because of the reason the director said but because one needs to determine why it happened and can it be fixed. It varies case by case and it is to me couple specific.

My response is a bit cerebral, as honestly I dont know what I would do, if faced with a similar situation.😊

But what I do believe though 'all' relationships (spouses, partners, close friends, families) need to be nurtured. Marriage more than others and my is is work 😊

Had heard someone say , that relationships are living breathing organism that one needs to "reinvent" and "infuse"..she was making a case, for not to take it for granted.

Made perfect sense to me. Every relationhip goes through its ups and down. There should be something to look forward to in it, a curiousity for the other person, a lightness and playfulness in it.

That is why I had asked why not bungee jumping with Khushi..shared experiences bonds and strengthens it.

She had moved “hands of time” to a blog. It’s been quite sometime since she updated. Here’s the link: https://thehandsoftimebyaquasandhya.wordpress.com/about-me/

While its possible to recover from an affair, the process will be painful for the cheated on spouse. It has to be accompanied by genuine remorse from the cheating partner. It can't simply be a case of it was a physical need. There was a communication breakdown which has to be addressed. Both have to be willing to give it a second chance too.

Arnav had been feeling relief when his path did not cross with Khushi even at home. We first knew about this sentiment in connection with the parties. At that time we though, was he ashamed of her possibly? But at home, this could not be the reason. So what was it? What had begun irritating him and why? Now he misses it all when he realizes how much impact she had behind the scene. She never rreally went away until now.

Khushi had got a taste of working for herself and now the perception of the villagers does not sit well any more. All these years away have changed her too. She wants to be independent and support herself. A man or no man. But her society will not allow her to do so. Everyone seems to want her to get married again. A woman without a man is incomprehensible to them. I wish she had tried to convince her parents a bit more rather than giving in. Wish she chose to fight back against those notions and give other girls a sense of purpose too.

Arnav kept on working on his software because he believed in it. He got edged out of his chance before, but not any more. He will go after it now and give it his all. But his support system is missing this time around. The tension is mounting. He is not at ease.
