Just the thought of it makes me shiver. Reading them in detail is absolutely the last thing.

P.s- I am sorry if I am overwhelming you, I don't know why i am taking this story so personally.

hahaha, I surely would. And no you’re not overwhelming me. It’s lovely to see the investment in the tale :)

Interesting that the last scenes in this chapter have Khushi finally sleeping on Buaji’s loving lap while Arnav sits alone in his office wondering if there is any point to it all. Also, what happened two years into their marriage which was the last time he really cried? At this point in their lives it seems to me that Arnav’s reactions to Khushi’s feelings have little to do with sparing her grief but sparing his guilt and even his ego as she is not reacting as he predicted. No, I don’t think he is showing he cares for her because he still has feelings for her. I don’t think he is just being a jerk. It is beyond that. When he filed for divorce he was about as low in character as you could possibly go in a marriage. He has been unfaithful, seems emotionally as well as physically absent with the added insult of preparing for a divorce from a wife that he thinks still loves him at least from the prologue’s description of their anniversary morning. And, he was prepared to break her heart to get his way as he knows how she feels about divorce. And, everyone knows but her. He has a long way to go to climb out of the gutter in my book. Khushi, on the other hand, has a long ways to go in climbing out of her perception that she is a second class citizen and that her wants and needs are of secondary importance. A long journey for both. But, somehow Khushi’s journey for me, will hopefully see her blossoming into a new happy woman never to repeat the mistake of devaluing herself in a relationship. While, Arnav I hope stews in his own juices as he comes to terms with what a low character he has been. I hope Khushi finds a life partner that will love and cherish her as an equal while my sense of vengeance right now has trouble wishing the same for Arnav. He’s sunk too far.

It was pointed out earlier too in the discussion thread, she is a product of her circumstances and did not take a lot of her actions or thoughts seriously. Ade up her own mind about Arnav’s state of marriage and was about to tell him despite finding out he was happy with his wife. As much as the readers would hate it, I think Lavanya and Arnav are going to have a few interactions and couple of chapters :’)

😅Even though it has been repeatedly stated that Lavanya is not the reason for divorce...sleeping with her did drive the final nail in the coffin in a troubled marriage😊

So readers know that she is here to stay and even if she has today miraculously reformed don't have to like her😊

Yes it just a story but you would agree in no culture ..indian or otherwise are the other woman/man ever liked. 😊

Thanks for acknowledging:)

To me it is a difficult story to write because it is not just breakdown of a marriage. Of two people with little in common except physical attraction. (Which will wear off with time).

That would have sufficed but here there is an added quirk of another woman in the mix.

So whether there was any growth in young Khushi's character in this decade is irrelevant. This story is not saving the marriage but about Arnav and his journey. The other woman only helps to move it forward.

More than Arnav, I am concerned about Khushi's journey. As others have pointed out, she has lost the most. Everything at this point. We really want to see her come out this in one piece and find happiness again.

This story hits close to heart for all of us. We are feeling Khushi's pain and crying for her.

I sometimes feel, may be the La of the show is taking her revenge from me through this story for being ecstatic on her broken relation with arnav.

Karma is bitting me bad.

"About what?” Arnav said as he moved his queen back to safety and out of line of sight of the bishop."

Is there any deeper meaning to it? or I am just being plain stupid for still trying to find some silver lining in all of arnav's action?

When akash came to console him after khushi left shantivan and arnav said "just for that one promise of taking care of her always." And now in this chapter the queen thing, the confidential tag on the file, arnav saying professional and personal reasons regarding bitebox and finally thinking if all these even matter anymore...

Can all the dots be connected and is there still any hope regarding arnav's action or I am just being emotionally stupid? (This is coming purely from the diehard arshi fan in me even after arnav being this JERK!)

The only thing i.e stopping me from absolutely loathing the male protagonist of the story is the name 'Arnav' and the face of Barun Sobti attached to it. Had it been anyone else I would have absolutely abhored.

This chapter was so poignant. Your heart goes out to that young girl who found her "sapnon ke raajkumar", the one who felt like a fish out of water, who most likely had to change her notions about a whole lot of things that she had been raised with. But her innate understanding of his need to be left alone even when she was young and least experienced to handle life came through. Her decision of not bringing a child into this world, for not wanting him to feel trapped. I can imagine with a decade old marriage the kind of pressure that would have come her way for starting a family. He I'm guessing is a loner by nature. The sheer helplessness that both of them are feeling came through beautifully.
