Marcus Stoinis: It's hot out here, burnt a few calories. Wasn't thinking about the gloves when I was batting. Krunal (Pandya) gave me some company (before he got retired hurt). It wasn't the easiest of wickets, but if you give yourself some time, it does get easier (to bat).

What an innings by Stoinis. Before this game, all his big scores this season have come away but tonight he has played a fabulous innings that has given LSG 177 - a very good score on this track. 54 off the last 3 overs and that's a magnificent finish from LSG. After the early fall of Hooda, Mankad and de Kock, it was the sensible duo of Stoinis and Krunal Pandya who rebuilt the innings. They did not aim anything flash as they respected the conditions and knocked the ball around in the middle overs. They were willing to run hard and got the odd boundary. Krunal when on 49 walked off with what seemed an injury. He was hobbling and in came Pooran to the middle. But it was Stoinis at the end who just tore into MI's attack. He started with a 24-run over off Jordan and despite getting deceived a couple of times, he managed to hit 7 sixes and all crisp and clean hits.
